“Location, Location, Location!”

This will not be the most fancy hotel you will stay in but... Location, Location, Location! I am not sure you can do better for the money. You are able to walk to Temple Bar in 5 min; You are right on a main bus and train route; and there is late night food right down the street.

“Great little hotel”

Everyone at this hotel was great to us. You can't beat the location, it's close to almost everything. Price was great, except St. Patrick's day night, which is to be expected. The food downstairs was good, and very reasonably priced. Our receptionist, Silvana was a gem! Jimmy, Ben, and Michael in the bar were fantastic as well! Very helpful and friendly. We look forward to going back someday!

“A Well Placed Spot in Dublin”

My family of 5 enjoyed an extended weekend at Dublin's Abbey Hotel. It has a wonderful location right off O'Connell St. 1 block from the Liffey. In spite of the great location it was reasonably priced. The rooms were clean and European Standard, Breakfast was abundant, and the downstairs pub was very convenient. I would reccomend this Hotel to anyone.

“Right where the Action is”

The Abby is located right in the middle of most of the major attractions in Dublin. All of the tourist centers are within walking distance. The staff was exceptional, and really friendly towards us. They were really helpful and went out of their way to make sure that we were comfortable. The hotel offers an impressive hot breakfast in the morning. It was so tasty and filling that we often skipped lunch. It was a great way to start off a day of sight seeing. The Hotel building is older, and the buildings around it made me feel uncomfortable when we arrived, but once we got inside we found everything to be perfectly adequate.

Abbey Hotel is excellent value for money with friendly staff and clean rooms. Close to Dublin city centre and crawling distance from Temple bars! Slight noise from downstairs, but not enough to keep you awake - am going back soon, Dublin an amazing city and Abbey a good base to explore from.

Great location in city centre, helpful staff who advised on restaurants, room good size, tv, not noisy, great breakfast. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. CLOSE TO OLYMPIA THEATRE AS WELL

eerste indruk was niet overweldigend,maar het zag er allemaal netjes uit.het hotel zit boven een pub,waar je savonds goed kunt eten voor een redelijke prijs,en het ontbijt en de bediening was ook goed ,ligt centraal en gemakkelijk te bereiken vanaf het vliegveld

“Good hotel but expensive”

This was the most expensive hotel that I have ever stayed in but it was certainly not the best. The room was small but clean. There really is no lobby, only a clerk sitting in a small room when entering the hotel. I must say that the clerk(s) were always friendly and helpful. There is a nice pub on the first floor but it can get noisy at night. We were on the 4th floor so the noise was not too bad and did not keep us awake even though our windows were open. If you're staying in the warmer months, your window will be open as well since I don't believe there is air conditioning, although I could be wrong about this.This is a good location....close to all activities and shopping. I felt safe in the area as well. Breakfast was filling but not much variety. You could order an omelet or a full Irish breakfast, along with several types of cereal. There was nothing else on the menu. If you like a big breakfast without much variety, you'll enjoy the breakfast here. The bottom line is Dublin is expensive, and I thought this was the cheapest hotel that was in a prime area, but the fact of the matter is that it's expensive for what you get. You can get cheaper hotel rooms in Dublin but I have heard/read negative things about them. I really had no complaints with the Abbey other than the cost.
