Very sweet, lovely peoplePosted Oct 26, 2013
Pros: Everyone was so lovely. It was very welcoming and clean and well run. When we needed a taxi it was called for us and available almost immediately.
Cons: Not one thing. It really is a fabulous spot and I would visit again.
The room was lovely, up to date yet quaint. The breakfast was phenomenal. As you walk into the hotel there is a lovely smell. The staff is cheerful, helpful and couldn't be more welcoming.

enjoyed our stayPosted Oct 11, 2013
Location: located in a nice quiet neighborhood, bus and train stations just around the corner. walking distance to next town.
We had a pleasant 2 night stay. Staff very helpful with good attitude. one thing that was bothersome was the noise level, we can hear activities and conversation next door, and along the stairwell.

Could have been great....Posted Sep 18, 2013
Pros: Staff, location
Cons: Decor, room furnishings
We booked for a two night stay with a view to spending time in Dublin during a driving tour of Ireland. The hotel is Located outside of the city centre in a quiet residential area with parking and good access to Dublin's heart via Dart (5 min walk) or bus. The hotel staff were very friendly and very welcoming. Whilst functional our double room was rather tired and in need of refurb, other than that faultless stay...

We had a great (but short) time staying at Aberdeen Lodge. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Our arrival was unexpected (as we'd booked less than three days before with a third party service), but staff were unflustered and went to great lengths to make us feel welcome. They were quick to offer us advice on sightseeing and finding various attractions around Dublin. Our rooms were neat and comfy, and the lodge is well located for walks by the bay or catching a quick train into the central town.

Probably wouldn't stay at the Aberdeen again...Posted Jul 31, 2013 on Hotels.com
Unless it underwent a renovation and some updating. Our room (number 22) was really, really tiny. I could live with that, if it were the only problem, but it certainly wasn't. Booked this because it was listed as the number two on Trip advisor, but probably should have thought twice since it was about half the price of the number one listing. It's on the outskirts, and away from the city, which wouldn't be a big deal if you have a car, or if you are comfortable with the train system, since the station is only a few blocks away. It's definitely more of a guest house than a hotel. Outdated and/or broken faucets in the very dated and tired bathroom. The cleanliness was not terrible, but was not spectacular either. Towels were really cheap and ragged. The television was at least 20 years old, which goes well with the 4 or 5 channels that you can access. Breakfast was not that great, all the fruit is canned or frozen, and anything you order is mediocre at best. The best things I can say about it are that the location is nice, and in a quiet area, the bed was decent, and with the exception of the owner, the staff are very friendly and helpful.

Could not fault our stay at Aberdeen Lodge. The location, the room, the breakfast, but most of all the kind & helpful people. We would not hesitate to stay here when next in Dublin.

Best breakfast experiencePosted May 22, 2013
The quality of the breakfast was first class, especially the stewed and seasonal fruits. The staff were very obliging and welcoming. The location near Sandymount village was terrific, with a couple of excellent restaurants in a quiet location.
