Characterful and charmingPosted Nov 25, 2014
Pros: staff an facilites
Cons: our room was slightly tired in décor but comfortable and pleasant
Location: rugby stadium Dublin towncentre Easy access to coast & countryside
Interesting use of old townhouses - characterful and comfortable. Breakfast was great as was provision of tea/coffee/cake in the afternoon & evening at no extra cost. Brilliant location for rugby stadium and close to DART for city centre which is also within walking distance (30 mins). Friendly and helpful staff.

Comfortable, pleasant, welcoming hotelPosted Nov 20, 2014
Pros: Cosey and warm. Great value for money.
Location: We used trip advisor, and found a number of lovely restaurants in easy walking distance.
We had an extremely enjoyable weekend at this hotel. The rooms were large, staff were always on hand, and complimentary coffee and cakes were available all through the day in the Drawing Room. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. All were most cheerful and attentive. Breakfast room was classy, and all the food excellently presented. Cooked breakfast was first class. Would recommend this hotel for anyone wishing to have a weekend in Dublin.

The best place I've ever stayedPosted Oct 21, 2014
The Ariel House had it all - a room three times larger than I was expecting, a breakfast fit for kings and queens, and of course, a staff that was willing to go above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. They even picked up our dry cleaning from the washer down the street! You get to know everyone there by name. My favorite part was arriving, feeling disheveled, and immediately being offered coffee and a scone. They've got snacks and tea and coffee available throughout the day and into the evening. The atmosphere there is like you're invited into someone's house to stay. The aroma there is marvelous, the scent still comes back to me days later. It's also super easy to access downtown Dublin, as well as coastal towns like Howth and Bray. It's a half block walk to the train which will take you into downtown in about 10 minutes, and from there you can take the tram just about anywhere. There are also several great restaurants and shops within walking distance, in what I feel was one of Dublin's more upscale neighborhoods. Stay here, I will definitely be doing so if I come back...

Ariel House is a lovely small guest house, convenient for walking to many lovely Dublin neighborhoods and for transport by bus or DART. All the staff were helpful, the rooms well-appointed.

Excellent B&BPosted Oct 4, 2014
Cons: Refurbishment of carpets. Water pressure not great in the shower.
Great location easily accessible to Dublin CBD by foot (about 25 minutes) or by train (a 5 minute walk and. 5 minute ride). While the room needed some TLC, it was quiet, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Staff = 11/10!

Galway getawayPosted Sep 25, 2014
Pros: Location and privacy were key. Also the kitchen allowed us to make a simple dinner and have easy breakfast.
Cons: Needs something to mark the bottom of the stairs.
Location: Ferry to Aran Islands is 30 minute drive. Galway is 30 minutes other direction.
Ariel House is a group of homes, a bit funky. Beds were clean, the location was excellent. This was a three bedroom that shared one bath and the stairs were a bit tricky causing us to trip more than once. A bit more lighting might have helped.

Hotel location is a little outside the center of Dublin but the area was quiet and the train station was right around the corner. Very easy to get around without a car.

Pros: Staff, location
Location: Near a viva stadium
Only spent 1 night but staff was super helpful. Let us check in early. Gave us directions to attraction and how to use public transport. Had to leave early next morning and staff made sure we had a taxi and breakfast to go.
