Stunning Hotel

Posted Jul 17, 2014
Pros: Loved the Victorian rooms and the 4 poster bed
Cons: Parking
Location: Lots of restaurants up the road. Bus stop down the road, pubs near by. Fantastic.
Had a dreadful time finding hotel due to lack of street signage in Dublin, lucky there are a lot of things in the area called Lansdowne, so we knew we must be near the right street. Staff were lovely and helpful, drawing route on map so we didn't get lost on way home. Limited parking on site so had to park at arena down the road, weather was sunny so wasn't a problem, could be a pain in winter. Lots to see and do, hotel guide in room had lots of information and was very helpful.

Wonderful staff and breakfast

Posted Jul 7, 2014
This place is a bit south of city center but the walk back allowed us to work off the many Guinness and fish and chips. The hotel staff was SO friendly, nice and helpful. A perfect example is when we were getting ready to leave I noticed I was one euro short of the fare to the airport, the sweet lady at the front desk jumped up and just gave me 5 euro! I declined but she insisted. Where in America would a hotel staff do this? No where I've ever been... These are just good people who are amazing hosts. We loved this place!!!!

Absolutely perfect

Location: 2 minutes from the aviva stadium and the dart train.
We arrived early and were shown to the drawing room where we were served tea and fresh scones - delicious. The staff couldn't be more helpful, the rooms are comfortable and the food is very good. Don't miss breakfast. There are tasty offerings in the drawing room every afternoon - what more can anyone need?

Lovely Surroundings, Great Location

Posted Jul 3, 2014
Pros: Just about everything - would definitely return and have already recommended.
Location: Great restaurants and bars within walking distance. The train and buses to downtown are close by. Taxis abound.
Ariel House is located in a safe, pretty and convenient location. Great restaurants and bars within walking distance. The train and buses to downtown are close by. Taxis abound. The hotel itself is clean, nicely decorated and well-staffed. You can't beat the breakfast!! Everything delicious in a beautiful presentation in a lovely breakfast room. The bed rooms were very comfortable and the price was right.

Professional staff went above and beyond!

Pros: Location , condition, service!
Cons: More parking
Location: Close to restaurants, we walked to the docks area and downtown to Stephens Green. A pleasant walk if the weather is nice.
Great location walking distance to some of the city's main central attractions. A short stroll from some quality restaurants as well as the docks area. We arrived to find a charming character hotel updated and comfortable. Pleasant and welcoming greeting and the room was modern and super clean. During our 3 night stay our rental car was significantly damaged by another guest who backed into the vehicle while we were out for dinner. The staff rushed to meet us at the front door to alleviate any fears that it was a hit and run. I can tell you this was quite a relief!! The staff had gathered all the information required from the driver and provided me with a statement about the accident from a staff member who witnessed the event. . The next morning, Dierdre the hotel manager asked me to join her at her desk while she called the car rental company on our behalf. Within 10 minutes we were back enjoying our holiday, knowing we had the hotel staff as a reference if anything went sideways with the car company. What a treat to have the staff voluntarily step up and offer service above and beyond their duties. It is obvious that this family owned hotel has exceptional staff and care deeply about their level of service. While speaking with other guests, we found many were regular guests at the hotel who had nothing but good things to say.

Lovely hotel

Posted Jun 17, 2014
Pros: Everything
Cons: Perhaps a list of restaurants/pubs for dinner for guests. There didn't seem to be many options nearby.
Location: Merrion Square, St. Stephen's Green, Grafton Street, Temple Bar and the Liffey are all within a 15/20-minute walk.
We stayed for one night and found the Ariel to be perfect. We arrived mid-morning but were warmly welcomed and our room preparation was given priority so we could re-group before heading out. While waiting for our room we were given delicious coffee and croissants in the drawing room.

Lovely B&B, great neighbourhood, good food nearby

Posted Jun 17, 2014
Pros: Rooms have vintage character, windows open
Cons: Ventilation; much better with open window; cotton blanket in lieu of duvet would be more comfortable
Location: Variety of good restaurants nearby, walking distance to many sites
Helpful staff and wonderful breakfasts started each day pleasantly.
