A good location - once I had sussed out the buses. Also, on the bus route to the Airport. Bedroom very nice and clean and with extra electric heaters if needed. Luckily the nearby Skylon Hotel was available for breakfast from 0700 every day. Cafe 104 didn't open early enough for me. Still, OK for meals later. Now I know all the wrinkles, I would stay again.

I booked for two nights on a business trip but only stayed one night. Unlike in the past where you would be warmly greeted by the host, there always automatic check in and no breakfast. This is despite reviews of good food online. The lack of human contact was awful - I was also kept awake for hours with people arguing on the corridor outside. I did not approach them for safety reasons and again there wasn’t anybody to report this to.

Convenient to getting to the airport and into the city as it is about halfway between and on a major bus route. Busy road but quiet , clean room, with lovely helpful staff. Felt very safe staying there.

Disappointing
I feel totally ripped off. This is not a B&B, it’s just a B - for bed. No breakfast included. The WiFi didn’t work the whole time we were there. The toilet also didn’t flush properly and we had to use bowls of water from the sink to clear it. A totally over priced night stay. What a disappointment.

Very nice staff. Clean, modern decor great location as a base to visit Dublin using the bus into center city. The bed was 2 twins pushed together to make a queen which I could feel the seam. Didn't matter too much. We were so tired from our busy day in Dublin. Got good sleep anyhow. I would stay there again in the room we had. First floor room at the end of the hallway back of the house with a beautiful courtyard.

Attic room at the top of steep narrow staircase. Very hot with small narrow windows not letting in enough air. No air con or fan available. Very noisy digs barking and sirens rushing by.

Close to airport and easy bus to city center
This was a good location for us as close to our relatives. The room was clean and the place has parking. The only complaint was the other residents on our floor made too much noise in the morning and had no consideration for those who wanted to sleep past 6am in the morning.

Could be cheaper compared to whay you get.
I guess things that turned me off of this b&b was that the bed was very uncomfortable, the sings kept jetting stuck then poking me in the side, and that the lounge was (commune) area was full of laundry and that I had to wait about 10 minutes until the door was opened for me. On the plus the shower was excellent, the location is great and much more than the generic 2 cups of coffee was available.

it was not good i stayed only one night out of four.no breakfast provided even though it is advertised as a bed and breakfast,the tv did not work properly and for what they charged i got a four star hotel with breakfast and one evening meal for five euro less

Very convenient to the bus stop to get to downtown and the airport. Walkable to city centre if you like walking. Very clean and the lady who checked us in was very helpful.

Total Disappointment
Okay, first thing, this is not a B&B as advertised, as they do not serve breakfast. My three sisters and I, two of whom are seniors, arrived for a one night stay before leaving Ireland. Upon arrival we were met by a gentleman, who didn't introduce himself, only stood in the doorway and watched me park the car, and watched four women pull suitcases out of the car and carry them up the steps. Never once did he offer to help any of us, not even the sister who is obviously disabled. He stood in the doorway drinking his tea, and had to be asked to move aside so we could enter. He criticized my parking when we finally got into the building with all our stuff. He then told us they didn't serve breakfast, and one of the B's in the B&B sign outside had tape put over it. Classy. First thing he did, we still didn't know his name, was to ask for my credit card to pay for the room, no chatting, how was your trip, etc. I would never in a million years recommend this place to anyone.

Ashling House is great place to stay
These accommodations, are located in a nice area with restaurants within walking distance. Buses to center city Dublin are right across the street. The house is not modern but was comfortable, clean and friendly. We would stay there again.

Fine for the price.
Accommodation in Dublin is really expensive so at 69 Euros one can't complain too much. Room was spartan but very clean. Lots of bars, shops and restaurants within walking distance and buses into the city centre. Lot of traffic on the main road outside - the noise doesn't bother me but it might with some people.

Stayed one night, cold and damp - including the bed sheets - no blind in bathroom, musty smell, bed was old and sank in the middle and therefore uncomfortable. Everything generally shabby; would not return have stayed at far better places in Dublin and much better value.

The checkout time was 11, however staff came knocking every 10minutes from 10am onwards and then vacuumed excessively just outside the room to ensure I was up.I have stayed here before and really liked it but this was poor.

Delighted to discover that I had been lucky enough to happen upon a quinessential old fashioned Irish B&B (albeit minus the second B), with all the homely comfort and hospitality that goes with it. What the old house may have lacked in frills, the owner more than made up for with his genial manner & good humour. A warm Irish welcomes awaits you at the Aisling House.

Only stayed here because of distance to airport
Bed was not comfortable, television quality was poor. The young man who checked us in wasn't too friendly or bright. The fare to Dublin Airport was about €20 but it was a short drive. We just needed a place to stay for one night because of an early flight, so it worked for that situation. There are other B&Bs in the area that might be worth looking into.
