Plastic Guinness

Posted Sep 24, 2014
Well located off O'Connell street. Decent enough facilities, but the Dublin experience was rather spoilt by being served a pint of Guinness in a plastic skiff, in the hotel bar!

Pros: How clean it was....
Cons: The traffic in the lobby...
Location: The location was great close to shopping, museums, Pubs......
The hotel was within walking distance for a lot of things. It was clean and the staff were very nice if you needed anything and ask you got it no waiting. I would recommend this hotel!

Historic hotel on edge of town

Posted Sep 21, 2014
Pros: Historic character and location. Next to main line train and bus stations.
Cons: Shower pressure.
Location: Sligo is a lively town with great river walks and lovely restaurants. Small enough to feel comfortable but large enough to be interesting.
Hotel has character and staff were pleasant. Room was very large but the shower was barely adequate. Bed very comfortable and room decor warm. Public areas downstairs are large and spacious. PC usage available and a bar with entertainment on side. Well carpeted with fine furniture and fittings. A short stroll into the centre of town.

Good Value

This Hotel is in good location. I thought it was quite good for the price. It is clean. The bathrooms are very nice but the tub is deep and narrow. Fortunately there are very good hand rails to help with getting in and out of the tub.

Reasonably priced and good location

Posted Sep 15, 2014
Pros: Location. Staff. Breakfast buffet. Fairly reasonable price.
Cons: Hard to enlarge rooms but ours really did not have room for a double bed.
Location: walking distance to many museums, pubs and other sites such as temple bar area.
3 nights here. Very good location relative to sites in Dublin. Only real complaint is the room was very small. Not room to even lay our suitcases flat anywhere. Breakfast buffet was 10 euro but very much worth it. Staff was very helpful. Hotel is in walking distance to many Dublin sites and easy access to tour buses or regular buses.
