great location

Pros: location, comfortable beds
This hotel is situated right off the main street with shopping, tourist information, and easy walk to Temple Bar area. They had breakfast buffet for $9 pounds each person, but we could have skipped this and got breakfast cheaper at a place with more ambiance.

Nice hotel close to centre

Pros: see above
Stayed for 4 nights this visit and 3 the same time last year.Excellent central base to explore most of Dublin by foot if you are feeling energetic.Good irish full buffet breakfast deal for 9.99 euros if booked on check in.also eat there in evening set menu just over 20 euros each -good quality and value as eating and. drinking out is expensive.Had room at rear of hotel which is quite but no view but prefer decent nights sleep .Recommended mid range hotel with polite friendly and efficient staff.

Weekend in Dublin; sightseeing.

Posted Apr 13, 2014
Pros: Well situated with excellent access to the buses. The staff were so, so helpful and couldn't do enough. The breakfast it totally awesome too!
We found Dublin to be a great experience. We weren't sure there would be enough there to keep us interested but we quickly realized that there are so many interesting and entertaining things to do during the day, and so many great places to eat and drink at night.

Great, need more linen

Posted Apr 12, 2014
Our experience was great, everyone was very friendly and when we had requests they were handled quickly. My only small suggestion would be to provide more bath linen in the room, and include some small facecloths.

nice staff, great location

My husband and I stayed here for one night. Great location! Especially if you sign up for the green Hop on Hop off bus, the airport shuttle and Hop on Hop off tours drop off/pick up right outside. Approximately 10 minute walk to Temple Bar. The beds were comfortable and wifi service was good. Staff was welcoming.

Great hotel-very convenient

Posted Apr 7, 2014
Location: Right off O'Connell street with it's many shops.
Loved my stay at the Academy Plaza. Very close to attractions and the Hop on bus stop was right across the street. Nice room and very clean. Great staff. Will stay there again next time I am in Ireland.

Great Hotel, great location!

Posted Apr 6, 2014
Pros: Location, Staffing, Comfort.
Cons: Just going over the rooms a bit with a maintenance person to neaten up loose ends, nothing major though.
Location: Temple Bar, O'Connell Street, Light Rail, it's a great central location that puts you near everywhere in Dublin.
My wife and I stayed here for a week, and we had a fantastic time! The hotel is right of O'Connell St, about a half mile from Temple bar, and a quarter mile from the light rail trains. Plenty of pubs and restaurants in the area, and the airport shuttle stopped directly outside the hotel. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the facilities were very clean. Some of the wallpaper was fraying a bit on the edges, but other than that the rooms were perfect. When we're in Dublin again, we'll definitely be staying here.
