Perfect Location

Posted Jun 30, 2015
Pros: The friendly, extremely helpful staff and great location
Cons: As a group of 3 we could have done with a few more plugs within the room as we struggled when wanting to charge our phones at the same time
Location: Great location next to brilliant pubs, restaurants and bars. Near to O'Connell Street and Henry Street, A hop on hop off bus stop not far at all
Had a wonderful 2 night stay here at the weekend, the staff were so friendly and extremely helpful, the location was fantastic within 5 minutes from Henry Street, O'Connell Street and not far at all from Temple Bar. It also didn't take long at all in a taxi from the airport. Rather disappointing that Expedia lists the hotel has a "full service spa" when in fact it is a very small beauty salon with no spa facilities whatsoever (pool, jacuzzi, steam room or sauna) except for a gym. This is no fault of the hotel as their individual hotel lists it has a salon.

Close to centre. Good breakfast.

Previously stayef at this hotel in april. 3rd floor. No noise. Room good except a bit chilly at night. This time we were on the 1st floor overlooking the air conditioning trunking. The room was small. The night club next door was horrendous. Music didn't finish till 2pm so extremely noisy. Especially when we had an early flight the next day. May have to consider another hotel next time we visit.

Ideal Location just off O'Connell Street

Posted Jun 27, 2015
Currently the hotel can be hard to find since even though it is on the corner of the block next to The Gresham Hotel, that corner building is undergoing some kind of construction and so is obscured by a temporary exterior wall with the construction company's name on it. You have to walk along a pedestrian walkway through those walls to get to the hotel. I saw a homeless person sleeping in that walkway one morning since it is a sheltered location. I was a little uncomfortable coming home after dusk but if that construction barricade was gone, the location would have felt perfectly safe. ASIs typical in Europe, the room with doubled bed was tiny. One side of the bed basically against the wall and foot of bed maybe a foot from another wall. Open closet with tea-making facilities next to a small desk and tint nightstand. Luggage rack only other furniture. Bathroom decent-sized. There was a leak in the shower ceiling whenever the shower was running that did not affect the operation of the shower. I reported it on my second night but it had not been repaired before I left. I reported it again upon check-out, along with the a/c that had stopped working the night before (room was a little stuffy but not unbearable so I did not report it that night). Staff were polite and check-in and out were quick. Had a pint in the bar. Dublin city is expensive, even more than England is, so expect to pay more at the pub. The prices in the hotel bar were comparable with other pubs

I was a little afraid I was going to encounter a dirty, old hotel but pur stay was great. Clean rooms with good breakfast. Just dont expect a big room, remember you are in the middle of Dublin. I would definitely recommend this hotel!
