“Couldn't knock Castleknock!”
Absolutely no complaints. Very good Expedia value. Facilities, service and hospitality first class.
“A beautiful first stop in our tour of Ireland”
My family loved Castleknock and appreciated how friendly and accommodating the staff were. It really was a lovely place. Our only one complaint, and it's a minor one, is that our family runs each morning and we had difficulty the first morning finding the start of the running trail.
“Superb weekend”
We had a really lovely weekend in the Castle knock hotel and country club. Superb food and would highly recommend the potato skins. yum! Spa facilities were lovely with an amazing view over the golf course.
“Arpil 2012”
FAntastic Hotel from first impression to check out. All staff extremely friendly and helpful. Hotel was in one word AMAZING !!!! :-)
“Nice Hotel”
Hi,would have given 5 stars but I have been staying here for 4 weeks in a different room each week in some rooms the thermostatic shower cannot be adjusted, some remote controls for the TVs do not work, and in some rooms the WI-FI is non-existant,pity to fall short on stupid and avoidable complaints, but rooms a well equipped, clean and comfortable as are all facilities, fitness suite, sauna, jacuzzi and swimming pool and towels are free all in all a nice hotel.
“Thanks Castleknock”
My friends enjoyed our stay at Castleknock, we were glad it was the Hotel we chose.
“Great hotel”
This hotel seemed new and modern and the golf course was right on the property. We played the golf course and found it to be good value. The hallways were quiet and the bed was comfortable.
“Beautiful place tucked away from it all but not too far from city center”
My boyfriend and I stayed here for 10 day's and really have no complaint's. We loved the fact that there was an in-room safe we could store our valuable's while we were out of our room! The bathroom floor's are heated which was a nice surprise! Maid service was alway's great! The picture's of the pool/hottub area are slightly misleading, as they show nightime scene with candle's lit, and the pool area closes well before dark, eliminating the option of a romantic evening by the pool or jacuzzi:[ The wall's are a bit thin, as we could hear other guest's {night owl's} coming back to their room's at late hour's and a bit loud. There is a small grocery store in town Castleknock if you want to save money on meal's while in Ireland. If you are a smoker, you would be wise to bring extra packs as they are quite expensive in Ireland; about 9 euro a pack! It doesn't take too long to find your way around if you have a good sense of direction. There are lot's of castle ruin's and cemetaries and cathedral's which offer great view's and opportunity for great picture's! Trim Castle is only about 4 Euro each for a guided tour. For the country lover, you could spend several day's driving and hiking around Wicklow National Park! So Beautiful and QUIET! Bring an Umbrella as it rain's often/daily! We rented a car which is expensive in the end but well worth it if you are independent and need the freedom to go wherever/whenever!
“Castleknock, Dublin”
Reasonable accommodation, poor restaurant.
“Country feel just minutes from Dublin's city center”
This location is great if you want to leave the city behind after a day of touring for a quieter more relaxed atmosphere - the bus system runs pretty late so if you want to stay in town you have that option too. Bus stop is conveniently located to the hotel with affordable rates - you must have exact fare! Castleknock has a great spa with massage services available in addition to the very nice golf course on the property. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was spacious and clean. Highly recommend the day tour by rail/bus to the Cliffs of Moher, Bunratty Castle, The Burn etc. It lasted 15 hours, was very affordable and you can see the beautiful countryside and many key sites within a relatively short period of time without the expense and hastle of renting a car and getting lost or having an accident. Bar staff could have been a bit more friendly - the front desk staff was terrific.
