Lage des Zimmers entscheidend...

Posted Feb 18, 2015

Lovely hotel just out of Dublin

Posted Feb 10, 2015
Had a wonderful stay, if you cannot drive then to get into Dublin city center using the bus takes about an hour.

Nice hotel.

Posted Jan 23, 2015
Pros: Umbrella supply, ample parking, good rates.
Cons: TVs.
Location: Golf and swimming pool on-site. Dublin 25mins away.
Hotel car park is big enough for a long wheelbase Sprinter van, which is important to our work. Staff were ok, but the TVs in the rooms (esp 237 and 243) were terrible on the ears. Particularly at 160 Hz.

Should not be a 4 star hotel

Posted Jan 3, 2015
Pros: The staff were nice
Cons: Better food and perhaps a few things to do.
Location: It's not near anything in particular
The bedroom view was a huge area of rubbish bins and laundry. The beds sheets were not made properly and I had to make them myself. The hotel was not near anything and yet provided no facilities. The only food you could get was from the hotel and it was terrible. The hotel was under staffed, although the staff seemed very friendly. We are a group of 6 age range 10 - 75 and we wanted to have a good new year celebration. The hotel website looked as if it would provide that but it did not. The fireworks were a cheap, short and no better what we would have got ourselves from the local corner shop. The food was terrible: We had the "gold" package which was suppose to be the best they had but we we seem to have had what seemed to be leftover from the breakfast menu!

A little to far from town

Posted Dec 26, 2014
Pros: Clean and polite staff
Cons: Provide a shuttle for guests
Our stay was in December so there was not too much to do in the area. Had to go into town by a 20 minute bus ride or pay for a taxi to go to any of the highlights of the city. The one computer for public use was never fixed during our stay and we had trouble with the vending machines as well.

Very busy hotel

Posted Dec 13, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Very busy and open. Not relaxing at all.
Clearly this is a very busy family hotel. There were lots of people sitting in and milling around the front lobby and lots of children. The pool facilities were a bit shabby, they reminded me of a YMCA that is very busy. The internet was dodgy in the rooms and breakfast was very crowded and busy. But the staff were very pleasant, the food was good and the night was quiet.

Delightful country hotel

Posted Dec 3, 2014
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
We have stayed many times in the Castleknock hotel and country club and have always enjoyed the experience. The staff have always been most helpful and attentive, nothing has been to much trouble. We always take our meals in the hotel and have the menu varied and well presented. The liesure facilities are first class and bedrooms excellent. Highly recommended.

Good for weekend

Posted Nov 24, 2014
Pros: My room was spacious and the food was good.
Cons: I prefer a slightly softer mattress and pillow to the ones provided.
Location: If you don't play golf, take a €20 taxi ride into Dublin where you should find plenty to interest you.
This hotel was comfortable and convenient for a wedding at Luttrellstown. It had the added bonus of a swimming pool and spa.
