“Great Location!”
This is the second time I have stayed here. I really enjoy staying here and when I go back to Ireland, I will most likely stay here again. Most of the staff was very nice and helpful, save one girl, but everyone else was super nice and helpful. Great location to everything! I would suggest this place to everyone!
“Good central location”
Rooms were adequate but a bit cramped for five adults. The price is reasonable for Dublin.
“Christchurch Hall Apts Good deal”
This was great for the money. We stayed for nearly two weeks so the kitchen saved us a lot of money. (eating out in Dublin gets expensive) The location is superb. 15 min walk from the train station or 20 minutes to the tourist center. The neighborhood is decent. There isn't any service to clean your room or wash towels for you but the desk staff is friendly and there was a washing machine in the room! It's not five star but far better than most motels and certainly better than a hostel, which would cost about the same.
“Good Value for a Family”
I was somewhat concerned by the mixed reviews that were posted here. However, after spending 4 days at the apartments I can understand why the accommodations may not please all but for myself my wife and 3 children it was perfect. There was enough space for all of us and having the kitchen and a grocery a few steps away was just what we were looking for. The accommodation was simple but adequate. There was plenty of hot water (contrary to what others stated). We had a washer/dryer and dishwasher as well. The apartment also had a balcony off the living/dining rooms and a small balcony off one of the bedrooms. It seems that the place was renovated in perhaps the mid 90's so the furniture and carpets are at this point a bit threadbare, but, still serviceable. For a family of 5 this is definitely the way to go particularly because of the convenience of having a full kitchen not to mention the comparing the cost to taking both double and a triple hotel room. The location was great, we could walk to everything. All in all we will most likely return to Christchurch Hall the next time we are in Dublin.
“Ireland”
Great overall trip after some early bumps
“Nice Comfy Apartments”
I loved having an apartment to stay in and go back to with sofa's and your own kitchin. We found the showers fine and the bathroom although wasn't very modern was clean and user friendly.
“Nice Place to stay”
Overall the apartments were very nice. The pictures were pretty accurate as to what the rooms looked like (although the bedrooms were smaller). The location was great as you could walk pretty much everywhere in the city. We also found a rooftop garden on the third floor, which we were never told about, but was very nice. It really did feel like an apartment building as you never saw any receptionist. Which was our only issue. We had to walk a few blocks away (with our luggage in the rain) to get the key to our room. Then there was no receptionist in the building so when our bathroom light needed to be replaced, there was no one to ask to have it fixed (luckily there was a second light over the mirror). It felt as if we were completely on our own, which for the most part we didn't mind. But if you want to be able to get information about what to do in the city and have someone on hand to facilitate your needs, this is not the place for you.
“Funtional and central”
A very functional appartment with everything avaialable, including a well stocked kitchen. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. They told me the whole building was in the process of being refurbished, so it should imporve.
“Great for a family”
This is a great place to stay for a group-we were four (a senior, mid-forty and 2 twenties). The 2 bedroom apartment allowed us privacy. The pullout couch in the livingroom was awkward but not uncomfortable for one. Having a kithchen was a plus. We had enough dishes for our use-breakfast everyday and lunch prep. Only instant coffee, no maker. Cheap brewed coffee was available at the little store just down the street. Hotel staff was very accomodating and tried their best-we had some problems related to the hotel condition. We were able to check in at 9 am which was great after an overseas flight. Carpets in the halls were rundown and a hazard at our door. Phone in our room wasn't working and wasn't fixed before we left 8 days later. Staff were very good about making calls(checking home and confirming flights. Bathroom was old but clean-had to be serviced once for a leaky pipe. We did not have a problem with hot water, and there were 4 of us. Location was very good-about a 20 minute walk to Temple Bar area, a bit further to O'Connell St. Service was good but the place could definitely use some sprucing up-repairs and decor. Sheets were clean, beds were ok,location and price was good. I'd stay again if in a group. Might be noisy in the summer-we kept the windows closed at night in spring.
