Excellent stay in Dublin

Posted Jul 4, 2015
Pros: Clean, excellent service, nice rooms, clean, quiet, great atmosphere
Location: Easy drive to other small towns near to Dublin.
Easy drive from the airport. Excellent customer service. The "castle" atmosphere is a nice experience. Breakfast was very good and Wifi worked well. Our family vacation got off to a great start by staying here.

Magical castle experience

Posted Jun 11, 2015
Pros: Beautiful interior spaces, fun decor with medieval features, interesting grounds. Delicious food at the Fahrenheit Grill.
Cons: Bathroom fixtures could be updated.
Location: Close to Dublin and Malahide, it is a good staging point for adventures around County Dublin.
We had a great stay at Clontarf. The staff were all extra helpful, went out of their way to make everything effortless for us. I wish we could have stayed longer, just to take in the beauty of the place.

Fantastic hotel and staff. Dublin is fantastic and its a short ride into the city centre about 12 euro's by taxi cheaper by bus. A word of advice about airport transfers though. We used O'Connors coaches booked through expedia, they where late picking us up from the airport and then turned up two hours early to take us back. We weren't there so they didn't even try to call us and left us with no transport when we came back to the hotel at the agreed time! Thankfully the hotel staff where excellent and called us a taxi which ended up being cheaper than the pre booked one with O'Connors! So my advice would be hail a cab! The cabbies we had were all brilliant and knew so much about the city! Lets go city tours were also excellent. We had a great time and can't wait to come back although we will probably book a hotel closer to the city centre. Dublin 2 area.

Wonderful hotel!

Posted Jun 8, 2015
Pros: Location, building, staff.
Location: Not much around the location other than homes, but city bus stop is just around the corner and drives right into town/city center.
Great hotel that is an actual castle as described and seen in pictures, but still modern and renovated. Great location in a calm part of town, but not too far from city center. Local bus stop is nearby and convenient. Also very close to the airport - about 15 minutes. Staff was very kind and courteous.
