Lovely 5 night stayPosted Mar 25, 2015
Me and my wife stopped here from the 16th to the 20th of march. We came across for the st patricks day celebrations and my wife's birthday. The view of the hotel is breathtaking as you walk up the driveway, the castle was lit up in green and the lobby was out of medieval times. The hotel room was immaculate when we arrived and the staff are very helpful and friendly. The food was excellent and so was the Guinness. I Highley recommend this hotel, my wife was so impressed she wants to book the same 5 days next year.

Nice hotel in quiet, quaint area near the waterPosted Mar 21, 2015
Cool concept of a modern facility built around castle ruins. Close to the water and great walking. Super quiet neighborhood with great bus service to Dublin City Center. Cab ride from Dublin airport around 25 Euro. You can also take bus from airport to city center for 6 euro then catch the #130 bus to Castle Ave ( 2 blocks to hotel) for 2.55 Euro. We ate dinner in The Dublin Temple Bar area but had a night cap at the hotel by the fireplace. Very nice rooms with all the necessary amenities.

A beautiful historic hotel near everything!Posted Feb 25, 2015
Pros: The location is great if you want to be near both Downtown Dublin and the Airport without the traffic headaches!
Cons: Offer a guest shuttle to both airport and downtown Dublin on regular basis. We had to take a bus...a short walk to the stop.
Location: The bus stop is a short walk down to the main street. Instead of trying to drive and find parking, we opted to take the bus. Glad we did!
This historic hotel was once a castle and although it has been modernized, it still captures the beauty of the architecture and the bar/pub has medieval appointments and amazing ceiling! We only got to spend one night here but would have loved to have stayed longer

Great hotelPosted Jan 22, 2015
This hotel is wonderful. I stayed for two nights. Everything was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The castle itself is absolutely stunning. The only downside is the location. I knew it was outside of city centre but on several occasions, due to time constraints or early morning activities, the bus wasn't an option and taxis got expensive. I really enjoyed the experience but will probably opt for something closer to the city centre of Dublin next time.

Location: PASSAGE D'UNE NUIT SEULEMENT
- Excusez-moi je ne comprend pas ce que vous dites. (dit la réceptionniste en anglais) " Vous pourriez essayer le français par exemple ! " (dans la même langue) - non je suis bilingue... (sèchement) Ça laisse sans voix non ?

Beautiful hotelPosted Jan 5, 2015
We had a very enjoyable stay at Clontarf Castle. Did have a problem getting served at the bar in the evening, staff could do with making eye contact with customers & found manager off hand
