Crowne Plaza a treat!Posted Aug 26, 2014
Pros: Rooms, view, convenience
The hotel is very convenient to shops, restaurants, cinema, leisureplex and bus stops. It is on the edge of a huge retail park which has everything you need without going into Dublin city centre. But if you do the bus stop is about 3-4 mins away with buses very frequent and costing only 3.05 euros per person single. We only had breakfast in the hotel which was very adequate and staff were very helpful. The rooms were spotless and had everything you needed. Ours was on the top floor and we had a lovely view out over Dublin. We were able to park our car in the carpark under the ground floor so were up in our room in minutes. Would certainly come back here again.

No Laundry Facilites as per the hotel descriptionPosted Aug 24, 2014
Pros: Hotel was nice. Good size, clean, air conditioned rooms. Free parking. Next to mall and beside bus stop
Cons: Wifi in All the rooms! Also either provide laundry facilities or take it out the description
Location: Next to large mall. Not much else in the area. If you want to primarily see Dublin better to stay in the city.
One of the primary reasons we chose this hotel was that it was one of the few we could find that stated in the description that there were laundry facilities in addition to laundry services. After travelling around Europe and packing light we desperately needed to do laundry. Asked at desk where are the laundy facilities and they looked at me like I had 10 heads. The laundry service started at 4 euros for 1 pair of socks! Asked for nearest coin laundromat and was told that there was no such thing in Ireland. Also we had zero wifi in our room as promised. Had to go out in the hallway. Pretty sure it was because our room was at the end the hall. Booking with a travel website always gets you the worst rooms at a hotel.

Blanchardstown Crowne PlazaPosted Aug 19, 2014
Location: Right next door to the big malls so you could just walk over and there's lots of choice re: food selection if you didn't want to eat at the hotel.
This is the sort of place you hope to get when you book a 4 star hotel. I find I'm usually a little disappointed but this place is very modern, clean and first-rate in every way. We went back a few nights later and tried again a few nights after that but it was full.

Great Central LocationPosted Aug 9, 2014
We found staff very friendly, rooms very clean but very hot as air conditioning didn't seem to work very well. We also found food delicious . Overall we enjoyed our two night stay and would return again.

Too far out of townPosted Jul 29, 2014
25mins away from all the action is a joke. Buses take 45min to 1 hr to get to the city centre. I booked for 4 nights but booked out after the 2nd, and booked a fab place in the heart of all the action for a third of the price!!!.

Great Hotel StayPosted Jul 21, 2014
Pros: How clean and brand new everything was
Cons: There was a subtle smell of smoke in our room and we were on a non smoking floor. Not enough to be bothersome though.
Location: Its right across from the shopping center, so I think its excellent location for that.
We stayed at this hotel the night prior to flying back home to the United states. We had to be up and out at 5 a.m. so we wanted a hotel that offered free parking since we had a rental car and would be easy to get to the airport in the morning (without city traffic). This hotel was perfect for what we needed. Very close to the airport (about 15 mins) I would not suggest this hotel if you are looking to tour the sites of Dublin, would suggest staying in the city center. Hotel will cost a little more in the city center but will balance out with not having to pay for transportation back and forth. Its about a 25 Euro Cab Ride each way (so one trip back and forth was 50 Euro total) or a 40 min bus ride for about 6 Euro per person we were told. This hotel was very modern and sleek. Everything was very clean and looked brand new. Comfortable king beds. Check in was fast and efficient. Staff was friendly and helpful. My husband lost his phone in the taxi ride to Dublin City Center and the hotel staff was able to call the taxi driver and get the phone back for us. Was a great hotel, excellent price and one of the nicest hotels we stayed at during our tour of Ireland.
