SO NOISYPosted Sep 11, 2013 on Hotels.com
If you are the type of person who can fall asleep on the couch in the middle of a loud party, this is the place for you. It was SO LOUD. I had a corner room, right across the street from a bar that happily advertised "Live Bands All Night Long!" It was so loud in my room that I cancelled my reservation (losing my first night's stay cost) and went to a quieter place. I honestly don't know who could sleep here.

Fun place to stay!Posted Jul 24, 2013
Pros: The hotel room is gorgeous! King size bed, a great Jacuzzi bathtub, and rainwater shower. Very comfortable and clean.
Cons: A fan would have been nice.
Location: Tons of fun pubs, great restaurants, a variety of shops, clean and safe. Just be aware there are pubs every few feet so it gets loud at night!
Farringtons is a great hotel. Above one of the more popular (and touristy) bars in Temple Bar. A lot of fun, but note it is loud at night. There is no air conditioning or fans, but shouldn't be a problem for most. During our visit it was the hottest it had been in Dublin since 1995, so it was uncomfortable, but should be fine on other days. Friendly staff, but they are all bartenders at the pub below.

Only location going for itPosted May 31, 2013
Cons: Value for money
Location: Middle of Temple Bar area. Can't be too much better
Over-priced but great location. Extremely noisy and I was there on a Wednesday might. Normally I don't mind noise but...excessive.

If you want to see Dublin this is the perfect place. You're in the heart of the city above one of the oldest pubs ran by amazing people. If you don't like nightlife then this isn't for you. We had a giant tub and two skylights in suite number 3.

Wouldn't stay there againPosted Dec 8, 2012
Even through the rooms were presented nice in photos, in reality they were a little run down. We arrived on an early flight to find the pub had not opened so we could not check in. The room was small, the bed was comfy and the shower was good. As the hotel is above the bar, we arrived early and the bar was not open therefore could not check in. We contemplated booking in somewhere else, when we went to book Into another place the receptionist kindly rang farringtons for us, who said they would be open soon. A suggestion: have a sign on the window for hotel guests, we didn't even know we were in the right place, let alone what time it opened. As expected temple bar area was loud, and the room windows did not have double glaze, so the noise kept us up until about 3. All in all, I wouldn't stay there again... If you pay 50 euros or less its a good deal, anymore you are in for a shock.

Great, albeit very loud, location. Don't stay here if you want to sleep on Saturday night! We knew we were staying in a party spot, but people didn't quiet down until around 4 am on Saturday and at least 2 on most other nights. Hotel staff (aka bar staff) were extremely helpful and nice. Room maintenance could use a little work (furnace wasn't always working properly, shower head was loose) but we had an affortable and convenient place to crash for a few nights, which was really all we needed.

Our stay at tehis hotel was brilliant...Yes it was noisy at night but we knew and expected that. The only thing wrong with our room was the mattress was so terrible that it was uncomfortable....you could feel each and every spring...we had room 2. Apart from that it was clean, convenient and the bar staff that booked us in and out were great.
