Brilliant!Posted Feb 19, 2015
Pros: The location, the staff and the room itself!
Cons: Update the rooms a little, some of the lamps had cracks and simple little things like new shower heads. Make sure the side gate is always open!
Location: The location was excellent, outside the city centre and in a peaceful location away from the hustle and bustle of the centre.
The hotel is fantastic! We visited Dublin and stayed at this hotel as we wanted somewhere away from the city centre to stay! It was lovely, we stayed in the Garden suites, they are not part of the main hotel building but a short walk under a covered path. It didn't matter, the rooms were of an excellent standard, the temperature of the room was excellent. The ground of the hotel were well maintained and very grand! It was a lovely stay, friendly and helpful staff that gave us everything we needed during the visit. Looking at a map the walk from the station looked easy, it is quite long, it is possible but will take half an hour with luggage. The hotel has a side gate but this is not always open, with this gate open it is around 15 minutes. We walked from the station and to the station on each day no problems at all! With a ticket to Dublin costing around 12 euro return for two adults (£9) it is an ideal location to explore Dublin!

Loved the old world charm of FinnstownPosted Nov 10, 2014
We had a wonderful stay at Finnstown. The staff was warm and welcoming. We mentioned a small problem at breakfast and by the time we returned to our beautiful room, it was solved. We ate breakfast each of the mornings we were there. On busy mornings, the entire breakfast was served buffet-style. Everything was delicious. On the days with fewer guests, the hot items were served to order. The hostess was helpful and offered advice for our touring. We would highly recommend Finnstown and would return if we are in the area again.
