Good location for Dublin City

Posted Jun 2, 2014
Easy to find, typical of other accomodation in the area. Room was located in building behind; third floor accessed by new lift. Small room and shower room with tiny but powerful shower. Clean and comfortable. Quite hot and stuffy but as we had a balcony we just left the door open as we slept and lived to tell the tale! Breakfast was a suprise; husband was thrilled with the "cooked when we ordered" full Irish. No trouble to hold bags for day

Stay at Glen Guesthouse

Posted May 30, 2014
Pros: The location was good with easy walking distance to bars, restaurants and some sigthseeing areas
Cons: Sheves or drawers in room, a/conditioning and/or thermostat. WIFI in rooms.
Location: if your willing to walk plenty to see and places to eat shop etc.
The facilities were minimal. Ktichen, dining area only available during breakfast hours. Evening was closed was not around during lunch hours. The room did not have any shelves or cabinets. Room was very warm and front office not able to regulate temperature. One light bulb burnt out before I arrive and it was not replaced during my stay. Wifi is only available in the small lobby area and no where else throughout the hotel- a fact which is not disclosed in their advertisement. The location is good but with the observations just mentioned the price was high. I would not stay there the next time.

Comfortable Room just outside the main part of tow

Posted Mar 18, 2014
Pros: Location, size of the room, staff, proximity to bus/airbus, clean
We had a very nice stay at this B&B. It was a bit of a walk from the main part of town (15 minutes) but it was also less expensive than the rooms closer to town. Everything was very clean and comfortable and the staff were very eager to please. It was very close to the shuttle to the Dublin Airport which is definitely a plus. The room was very nice and large (we had the triple room) and we had plenty of room for our items. Fair price, nice property.

overall great value for money

Its very conveniently located, could see the spire from my room! Hotel is slightly worn, but the room itself was perfect. Room was very clean, beds were cosy. Excellent shower! Breakfast was decent. Traffic a little loud, but that's to be expected in the city centre. Staff were very obliging. Kitchen staff very friendly. Overall very good value for money.

No hot water

Posted Jan 5, 2014 on Hotels.com
Make sure you are up bright and early if you want some hot water as once the tank is empty there is no hot water for a few hours and the radiators only come on in the morning and evening so the rooms are cold in the afternoon. The dinning area is quiet small so be down for breakfast at 8am prompt if you want a table or you will have to wait or share a table which we found very uncomfortable as they are small tables and we didn't speak the same language as the other couple. The hotels in a great location and is clean enough but just seems the owners are cutting too many corners when it comes to quality service.
