7 Night Stay in Dublin

Posted May 21, 2015
Pros: Comfortable rooms and lobby.
Cons: Staff okay, but could have been friendlier. Did not have that "1000 Welcomes" attitude that was promoted and delivered by most of Dublin.
Location: Good location. Away from the downtown, but within a comfortable 20+ minute walk. Felt safe at all times in Dublin and the hotel's neighbourhood.
Dublin was an interesting vacation location. Worth a week to explore the history, pubs, and shops. Also took day trips to Belfast & Giants Causeway and Howth. The Grand Canal Hotel was our base and it worked well due to it location near rapid transit and walking distance to downtown (20 minutes for us). Hotel was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Our 2nd floor room had a poor view. Staff were okay, but not as friendly as the rest of our experiences with people in shops, restaurants, tours, etc.

Extremely friendly staff, comfortable and clean

Posted May 21, 2015
Pros: Near city central but just far enough away to avoid the noise and congestion. Clean and comfortable rooms. The staff went out of their way to assist
Cons: All was fine
Location: Nice neighborhood, medium traffic, excellent neighborhood pub a block away as well as a really good Italian place.
There is nothing negative I can say about the Grand Canal.

Super séjour

Posted May 11, 2015
Pros: Tout.
Parfait.

Nice hotel. Lovely view of the aviva from room. Only issue I had was one of my own fault I failed to realise there was a radiator in the room till the middle of the night and it was on full , it was roasting apart from that great stay

Last minute stay

Posted Mar 1, 2015
I booked this literally last minute and had never stayed here before. The hotel was nice and clean and in a good area. I am used to staying more in the city centre and this is a good walk to there. From the hotel to the Guinness Storehouse is about 2.3 mile walk. The staff was very friendly and the hotel bar, The Gasworks was a good place to wind down the night. It was pretty crowded on Saturday night as well. Overall a good place if you don't care where in Dublin you are but if you want to be closer to the city centre and don't want to pay for a cab you may want to book something closer.
