Terrible staff unknowledgeable

Posted May 26, 2015
This is such a lovely hotel with great facilities. However, if you need any information please do not ask the hotel staff as each one gave different advice and knew little of what goes on. The hop on hop offers comes to collect customers but each staff member gave different times as to their arrival, and also they did not know which direction the bus into town went. The man on reception said to take the bulls from the stop on the right, but it was the stop on the left we needed. Every day when we got back to the hotel I had to request fresh towels as they had not been replaced, along with tea and coffee facilities which were never replaced.

Good Value for money

Pros: Good value for money
We booked this hotel at short notice and it was one of the cheapest in Dublin. We were expecting the worst but were pleasantly surprised but the standard. The rooms were comfortable, the staff were friendly and the price was good. Nothing spectacular but good value for money. I would go back again.

nice friendly reception girls, who went out of their way to help me with directions of Dublin. walls in room were a bit thin, i could hear people in their rooms talking and toilets flushing. however rooms were clean, fresh towels and bedding daily. the hotel itself is pretty far from Dublin city. i did not eat any food from the hotel.

Hotel met kritische opmerkingen

Posted May 19, 2015

Rude guests

Posted May 8, 2015
There seemed to be a lot of drunk unruly people there, not the hotels fault I suppose but it didn't feel very safe. My friend was cat called when she went in alone to find an ATM (didn't have one). However the room was nice & big and the bed was alright. Next time I would prefer staying in the city centre though.

Make sure to get a room not by the roadside

Posted Feb 13, 2015
Even with a double set of windows, the rooms facing onto the road / motorway are just too noisy for a comfortable sleep. I have stayed before and made sure I got a room on the inside. However, there is a noisy air conditioning unit outside several of the internal rooms which is even louder than the traffic noise so I had to move rooms (again). I eventually got a quiet room and had a very enjoyable night's sleep. Good quality pillows and bedding. Clean room although some of the chairs in the bedroom were very heavily stained. Reception and restaurant staff were very helpful and I was surprised at how pleasant the food (carvery) was (and I think it served until 10pm). I didn't get to try out the swimming pool, I was just too tired as I spent most of my stay asleep. It was a Friday night stay and it looked as if there were quite a few children / families in the pool on Friday evening. I enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay again if I could guarantee that I was in neither a roadside room or a room beside the air conditioning unit.
