Gute Lage nahe des Flughafens.

Posted Jul 28, 2015

Posted Jul 23, 2015
Pros:

Free shuttle pick-up from the airport, but it costs 2 euro to the airport, which is still reasonable. Great location: it has one supermarket and one convenient store nearby. A few restaurants around too. It's perfect for short-stay or transiting in Dublin.

Convenient to airport but nothing else

Posted Jul 20, 2015
Pros: Restaurant/bar had a relaxing atmosphere. Staff is professional, yet personable.
Cons: Very surprised to find no ATM or sundry shop in the hotel. Extremely difficult to maintain wifi connection from minute to minute.
Location: There is a Tesco (think Target) open till midnight. Sells toiletries/casual clothes. If you need room in your luggage, buy toiletries there.
Had a reasonably good time during a 10-day stay at the Hilton Dublin Airport. Staff were all very pleasant and accommodating. We did day-trips to Malahide and Howth, which were nice. But since the hotel is a bit remote, we racked up taxi bills during our trip. TIP #1: Take the bus into Dublin, not taxi. The bus is very clean and has wifi. Save money for a taxi back to the hotel at night.TIP #2: If you are staying on Fri, Sat or Sun, request a room on the second floor or higher. Live acts play on the weekends and we could hear every word sung those nights because our room was on the first floor. (For the uninitiated, the American first floor is the Irish ground floor; the American second floor is the Irish first floor.) TIP #3: Check your bill while at the restaurant. The staff are waiting on many tables at once and the bill may have some errant charges.

We'd heard this hotel wasn't great, but our experience was excellent... we also caught the 4am shuttle to the airport, and that worked fine.

Great Stay.

Posted Jul 15, 2015
Pros: Modern setting, fresh food for breakfast and the only hotel in Ireland with an ice-bucket and ice-machine,yahoo!
Cons: The lighting in the bathroom is too dull, not suitable to put on make-up.
Location: We walked over to the mall but it was boring. Took a taxi to Malahide, cute town. Bus to Dublin was convenient but it was access to the airport.
We used this hotel 3 times during our stay. Everything was great! Loved breakfast, quiet comfort and shuttle service. Thanks to the staff for helping print our boarding passes when the computer would not. Thanks to the shuttle driver who let us use his phone when City North didn't show up!

Great hotel and room.

Posted Jul 15, 2015
This is the second time I've stayed here. Four years on the hotel is still clean and tidy. It is a little way out of the city but far cheaper then similar options in dublin itself. Free shuttle bus from airport handy but was quite late on pick up on landing. Regular buses into the city for €2.80, large supermarket and a couple of cafes near by provide options for food. Check in was a little slower than I'd expect but still fine. Room itself was clean and spacious, and daily cleaning kept it that way though I'd prefer not having the cleaners knocking on the door at 9am on checkout day. Temperature control was the biggest challenge - even with the air con going was hot. A bit more coffee and milk would have been nice too in the room. Sure I could have asked for more. We ate and drank downstairs. Food generally good and reasonably priced for Ireland. However I was shocked to pay almost €4 for a pint of soda water..... In most places it's free. Majority of the staff were very attentive and helpful. All in all a good experience again.

Had rental car problems and gal at front counter came running out while we were waiting for taxi and gave us a fridge magnet "cead mile failce" for our troubles. Very thoughtfully!!!!!!
