Exactly what is needed for a quick flight outPosted Dec 2, 2013
Pros: Staff helpfulness.
Cons: Softer bed.
Location: Good restaurant next door. A quick bus ride to City Centre of Dublin.
We stayed here twice: Once when we arrived in country - to recover from our flight - and on the night before our early morning flight out. Excellent shuttle (free), wifi (free), breakfast (free), and friendly staff. The rooms are terribly simple - but that is a plus in my book.

Great hotel next to airportPosted Oct 27, 2013
Pros: Great look, great staff, very updated, probably the most updated hotel I stayed in during the week I was in IE. It had AC, ice machine, and very clean
Cons: Add a restaurant so that guests don't have to go to the Crowne Plaza next door.
Location: There are some shops within walking distance, but otherwise you really need a car to get into Dublin (you can call cab, etc).
Awesome hotel. Clean, updated, great staff, free shuttle to and from airport

close to airport, friendly helpful staff,Posted Oct 20, 2013
Pros: staff, location
Location: didn't have time to do much there, we went to city center of dublin, bus stop close by.
friendly staff, we were leaving the next day and booked the shuttle for the morning. shuttle was full and they sent us by taxi at their expense. Gave us directions on where to catch the bus to get to city center the night before. Stored our luggage for us before we checked in 3 days prior as we flew to Scotland and taking the luggage would have been costly.

Perfect spot to stay before EARLY flight!Posted Oct 7, 2013
Pros: Pretty much everything.
Cons: GPS friendly address for people not entirely familiar with Irish address forms.
We needed a place with airport transfer after turning in a rental car and preparing for very early flight to US. Reception provided perfect and clear instruction for finding rental return area near airport and getting hotel bus back to hotel. They suggested accurate travel times to airport and had a bus that was exactly on time in both directions. They all but insisted we get a backup wakeup call though we trusted our alarm - and delivered on time. They offered and provided a take away breakfast in place of the included breakfast we would miss because of our early departure. The restaurant in the adjoining Crowne Plaza produced a good dinner meal in pleasant surroundings with a charming waitress. Our Garmin GPS would not accept any of the many variations of the address we tried till we were within a few miles and then it delivered us to a driveway marked only for the Crowne Plaza. We forgot about the chain relationship with Holiday until after a call to the hotel. Altogether a perfect fit for our objectives.

3rd TIME AROUNDPosted Sep 15, 2013
Pros: It is really close to Dublin airport. But faces a Demesne which gives a country park feeling. Cleanliness and wonderful polite caring staff.
For the 3rd time around, we have used the Holiday Inn Express, in Santry, (Dublin Airport) while travelling from point A to point B. We find it fits all the categories that we require to achieve this. Next time around we are going to be staying for a few days to tour the surrounding areas of Dublin city. There is a convenient bus service nearby that makes this possible. Our 'motto' is if it isn't broke don't fix it. In fact each time there has been noticeable improvements in spite of difficult financial times. Last of all, it is possible to go to the Crown Plaza, next door to the bar where a beautiful menu is just waiting to be enjoyed.

There was much confusion with arranging for the airport van in the morning. Even though it was supposedly arranged the night before, 5 of us were left standing for over 30 minutes waiting to go to the airport. The gentleman at the front desk didn't seem able to fix this situation. Would advise everyone to plan on departing earlier than necessary so you will get to the airport on time.
