Excellent accommodations in great location!

Posted Apr 8, 2014
Pros: Modern, clean accommodations; excellent location; terrific staff; great rates.
Cons: Just keep it up!
Location: Please see "my experience."
My daughter stayed at this hotel last year on her first visit to Dublin, and she recommended it wholeheartedly. The staff was very pleasant and helpful from the moment we stepped in, and were very responsive throughout: there was a small issue with the air temp control, and they acted immediately offering a free breakfast just to cover any inconvenience to us. This particular Jury's Inn is perfectly located around the corner from O'Connell St. making it accessible to all bus routes, including the airport express and the "hop on/hop off" tourist double-decker, and a comfortable walk down to the Liffey River. In addition, there is a "ready to go" prepared food outlet down the block from the hotel which is wonderful for picking up a quick hot or cold snack and beverage, as well as an excellent restaurant right across the street as well as grocery store which was fun to explore. Retail shopping on Henry St. is also just around the other corner - so all our needs were easily accessible. My next trip to Dublin will definitely require another stay at this outstanding hotel!

Weekend away

Pros: Location
Hotel very convenient to get around all the sights. Bar and facitlies all typical Jury's and although a little sterile compared to Dublin they were fine. Rooms typically clean and tidy and comftable.

Rooms comfortable and clean

Posted Mar 29, 2014
Pros: The room which I mentioned above were very good.
Cons: The restaurant service, food an the reception service.
Location: Local to some good bar/restaurants and to the hop on hop off bus services. Other good bar/restaurants a little further away.
Had quite a wait at reception when we arrived although there were 3 girls on duty and also on several other occasions service was not very good. One thing did particularly annoy me was that while I was being attended to a phone call came through on another phone and a the girl palmed the caller off with the excuse that they were busy. They weren't and I thought after that it could have been me being palmed off. The restaurant was a bit of a disaster. We ate there the first night and had to wait over half an hour for the starter to be served and a further 15 minutes for the main course. My partner had pork loin served in cider gravy. She described it as 'luke warm oxo'. I had Irish Stew with braised red cabbage. I am still waiting for the red cabbage. We complained about both the delay and food and the waitress, who was very understanding, reduced the bill marginally. I'm sure she new there was a problem that night as the girl next to us had also complained. Needless to say we didn't eat at the hotel again You might think from my above comments that we didn't enjoy our stay. Well we did. The room was clean, tidy, comfortable and as Dublin was bitterly cold the room was nice and warm. I would stay at a Jury's Inn again but would not eat there again as there were many really good eating houses locally.

Nice Hotel, great location

Posted Mar 12, 2014
Pros: Location and comfort
Location: Just off busy O'Connell street, across the river to bars, restaurants and Graffton St shopping. Def go to the Guinness Storehouse and a Celtic night
The hotel is in a great location, away from the hustle and bustle but very central at the same time, excellent walking distance from everything. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was in very good order. Tea, coffee and milk in the room and there are ice machines on every floor at the lifts, brilliant idea. We didn't use the bar or the restaurant but the prices seemed very fair. We went to a Celtic Night in the Arlington Hotel on the Riverside, I thought it would be cheesy but it was amazing, a 3 course meal, music, songs and Irish dancers for 34 euros each was well worth it, it was the quickest 3.1/2 hours and we were disappointed it finished. We did get ripped off by an Irish taxi driver from the airport to our hotel, he was very friendly, telling us all about what to do and where to go but he charged us 42 euros when it should have only been 20 ! shame on you, we got a very honest taxi driver to return to the airport who was ashamed of his fellow taxi driver. However, all in all an excellent trip to Dublins fair city and we'll be back again, shlainte !

Hotel close to the sights

Posted Mar 3, 2014
Pros: Easy to get to from the airport as the 747 link block dropped you off a block from the hotel.
Cons: the check in is abit late for those who arrive early - the flights don't cordinate with the check in times.
Location: the location is close to the various sites, hop on hop off buses and restaurants.
The hotel staff very friendly and the place was clean but they are in the process of refurbishing the floor i was staying on so I had to walk all the way around the entire floor to get the elevator , which wasn't bad but sometimes inconvenient. The only issue was the group next to me was very loud so had a hard time sleeping one night but other than that had no issues.
