Beautiful comfortable hotel, close to seafront.Posted Sep 30, 2013
Pros: Staff are very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Its very clean, food is nice, service is fantastic.
Cons: Not sure, as I have never been disappointed on any of my visits.
Location: Location is fantastic as its close to Dart and bus routes. Lovely pier to walk, nice restaurants and pubs.
I have stayed at this hotel on many occasions since 2006. I have always had a good experience here and have no hesitation on recommending

Scenic in Dun LaoghairePosted Sep 27, 2013
We recently stayed at the Kingston Hotel. Overall, we enjoyed the view and convenience to the Dart station. It's an older hotel with charm, but also some quirks. The floors sloped in places and there was dust in the corners. But overall a good value and stay.

Good location needs redocorationPosted Sep 25, 2013
Pros: location and view
Cons: decor and smell
Location: close to the dart. nice walk along the pier
We were going to an event in lansdowne rd. We thought staying by the sea and commuting by Dart was a good idea. The location of the hotel is overlooking the sea and the views are lovely. When you go inside the views change for the worse. The reception area and receptionist was like a throw back to the 50s. The decor was drab and there was a persistent of cigarette smoke. This didn't cease when we got to the room which again had a lovely view but every thing was drab and wreaked of cigarettes. I would recommend that you rethink staying here - there has to be something better out there!

Nice hotel facing Dublin HarborPosted Sep 22, 2013
Pros: Location, very close to the pier and Dublin Harbor, easy access from Ireland Airport by airport coach.
Cons: Not much but the carpet can be cleaned.
Location: Walk on East Pier. Take a bus south to Bray to visit a coastal town or take a subway to downtown Dublin. The hotel is close to subway station.
My wife and I went to Ireland for a vacation. We spent 2 nights in Kingston Hotel, which gave us a room facing National Yacht Club in Dublin Harbor and East Pier. The weather was perfect. We took long walks on the pier and enjoyed looking at the harbor from the room. There are plenty of restaurants nearby. Breakfast was excellent with good choices, hot and cold; the dinning room overlooks the water. The hotel staff was very helpful and we found Irish people friendly and sincere. It was a most pleasant experience for us. The room us a little small but there is a small alcove where we could sit and have tea while looking at the water.

very adequate for such a remote locationPosted Sep 3, 2013 on Hotels.com
everything fine, except for noise insulation from neighbouring parts of the hotel. Very reasonable value for money.

Sea veiwPosted Aug 29, 2013
Pros: Rooms, garden and views.
Cons: It needs more car parking spaces. Is it possible to 'own' the pay and display places outside the hotel?
Location: It is set near the ferry port. Near to the DART into Dublin or the other way to Bray and fantastic seaside activities.
Fantastic location overlooking the East pier and the sea beyond. Sitting in the garden with a pint of Guinness in the sunshine was absolute bliss after a long day exploring Dublin.

great locationPosted Aug 21, 2013
Cons: restaurant needed more choice (dont like pizza )i know there were other choices but not enough
Location: great views out to sea although not much entertainment
the hotel is in a lovely area near the marina and the pier .The room we had was very nice and clean had a wonky tap in the bathroom but beds and everything fine. The receptionist and bar staff were very friendly and let us keep our luggage in a lock up as we werent leaving straight away . The only problem was the restaurant although was lovely and staff friendly the menu was not suitable for us needed more choice ..so didnt eat there at all , found a nice little pub called the pier, in town centre does lovely meals and very reasonably priced .Lady and gentleman were also very friendly Area is very quiet and not much entertainment on at night .Also the dart stopped at 11.00 so couldnt stay in dublin city centre late . If looking for a quiet break with no entertainment then this is the place,

Good value for the pricePosted Aug 12, 2013 on Hotels.com
Hotel is old, but in reasonable condition. Obviously hasn't been re-modelled in a long time and you would not call it luxurious. But clean and functional. Fantastic views from the front which looks out over the bay & marina. Nice Italian restaurant. Very little parking available though.
