“location”
Good location. Room not super clean. Nice to have hot water in room. Lounge very pleasant.
“Average Cheap Hotel”
Perfect location though it can be loud. Staff are nice enough. Hotel is old and run down but clean enough for the price is cheap.
“Poor choice”
The hotel was cute and right downtown, but the desk clerks rarely answered the phones, and gave they me wrong directions on more then one occasion. The hotel was very dirty and rather run down; there was an office overflowing with junk on my floor and dirty linen bags blocking the elevator.
“Bad Environtment for Light sleeper”
My bf and I went there to visit a friend. I am a light sleeper. The window has to be open since there is no freah air provided from the building. There were loud sound and shrieking motor at the back of the house that doesnt quiet down. I was having trouble sleeping. There is no soap or shampoo available where we end up buying our own. They have really bad service because our friend has left us a messege and we never got them. It was really important since we are traveling from US and no international plan in our cell phones. I will never go back or recommend this hotel to my friends.
“Disappointmen on O'Connell Street”
Unfamiliar with Lynam's, I thought I'd book it for adventure. Mistake! I waited SIX HOURS to get into a room they admitted was ready when I arrived. No concern at all for the traveler's needs. Dirty. Depressing. Really nice elevator, though. The price is enticing, but you get what you pay for. . . or a little less.
“You get what you pay for”
This isn't the best hotel in the world. It is downtown and conviently close to the bus stop (747 to and from airport). The room maintenance and cleanliness weren't the best... it just had a feeling of dinginess. But if you're not super picky then this is just fine. Big door knobs!
“Very good deal.”
Don't stay at this hotel for the ambience or the luxury. It's not there. Stay there because it's a very good deal, the staff are professional, friendly and helpful, and because it's in an excellent location. Close to many Dublin sites and perfectly situated for using public transportation to explore the area.
“Ok Hotel for the Seasoned European Traveler”
The hotel really isn't that bad. The floors squeak and the walls are paper thin but you have to keep in mind that the hotel used to be a private home. For me the appearance of the hotel( the pealing wall paper, shoty craftsmanship of the upgrades, and poor tile renovation in the bathroom) didn't bother me too much. The hotel is located in a great place and I stayed in a lot worse in other parts of Europe. If you are a first time traveler to Europe coming from the U.S. I would not recommend this hotel; You will probably complain about the quality and look of the place. If you travel a lot and you are more concerned with location, price, safety, and convenience to the airport shuttle( about a block away) then I would definitely recommend this hotel.
“I would stay here again........”
This quaint hotel (which I had a hard time finding) was right in the middle of city centre which enabled me to walk everywhere. I stayed in a single room and it was like my own little bedroom with a private bathroom. I would stay again.

City Center North, Dublin, Ireland: The heart of this area is broad bustling OConnell Street with its many monuments and grand buildings. Most famous is the General Post Office, the Republicans headquarters during the 1916 Easter Rising. The surrounding streets have a more local feel than south of the river but still include some fine Georgian buildings and important attractions, including The Hugh Lane (Dublin City) Gallery, the Dublin Writers Museum and the James Joyce Centre.
