“Good accomodation for location”
The room was for three people with breakfast. The room and hotel overall was very comfortable. It is close to the DART station and downtown attractions. It is probably in a better location than central because less noise.
“Great location for concerts and city centre”
What a great location 5 minutes walk to Croke Park and Temple Bar. Had a problem with the first room we had but when we went to the reception they were more than helpful and we changed rooms. Staff were really friendly and couldn't help enough, breakfast was great and overall wouldn't hesitate to go back.
“budget and location”
In terms of travel to Europe I found The maple to be a great choice for the traveler on a budget and yet wants to be within spitting distance of this bustling metropolitan city. There is no elevator or ramps, and if you get a room from 12 up to 17 be prepared to walk 2 or 3 flights ( mine was 17) . You are 15 minutes from airport with airlink bus stop outside hotel, you are 3 blocks from trains, and about a 10 minute walk to their bustling o'connell street which is a major shopping area and tour departure point ( there is a steel spire/monument that is good for referencing the way to and from the center ) . There is a pub at hotel and breakfast is offered for 6 euro....but there are many restaurants , cafes, pubs, all of whom serve "traditional full irish breakfast " at various cost. Great staff at The Maple and no complaints......those expecting The Ritz will be sorely disappointed.
“Two Thumbs waaaaaay up!”
We stayed at The Maple from Oct 9th til the 18th 2009. It is the best location you can easily walk anywhere! Breakfast was served from 8-10 am each morning (which amazingly wasn't that hard to get up for after very late nights). The staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms were cleaned daily with fresh towels. Dublin is a BEAUTIFUL city I strongly recommend going there and the Maple is a great place to stay! Hope this helps!
“weekend away”
for a weekend with a few friends this hotel done the trick. friendly staff and a nice breakfast was what the hotel was required to provide and they did. in terms of the location, this hotel was a great base for any trip, tour or excursion in and around dublin.
“I would go back to this hotel”
The service was good and the employees friendly. The room was not overly spacious but clean.
“Nice hotel”
Pros -Pleasant hotel, great location in Dublin -full breakfast included was uncommon and welcome -friendly staff Cons -No lift/elevator. We got the very top room and all those flights of stairs got old fast. -No wifi. Lobby had expensive & slow computer available in lobby for internet access -breakfast was typical Irish breakfast. Poached egg, bacon, sausage, and beans. They wouldn't do scrambled eggs for some reason.
“Its fine”
fine hotel, you get good service and good price
“Cozy, but rooms too small”
Great hotel, but the room are a little bit too small. Overall the serve was great!
“a real slice of Dublin!”
Room was a bit small and the shower was minimal--but the staff who worked at the hotel were outstanding. Great restaurant and event suggestions from them--breakfast at the hotel was very elegant and freshly cooked for each person. I would go back! Very convenient to main bus lines, bus depot, main shopping areas--and tourist attractions.
