“Nice location but partys going on all around the hotel...all night...”
We really enjoyed the hotel during the day, the room was HUGE and more than we expected. The kitchen and dining room was so convenient to have for cheap breakfasts and lunches for the kids. The downside to our stay was that the hotel is facing the alley between two large buildings so everything echoes all night including the drunks and people partying all over and in other hotel rooms above and below us. We got only 4 hours of actual sleep during the whole 2 night stay. I will say that the convenience of not having a front desk was great. We used the code to get in the door and get our keys and were all in the apartment 40 minutes after we left the airport. Also the price was incredibly cheap. Recommend for 5-7 singles looking for a cheap place to base a party weekend in Temple Bar, its a 2 minute walk away. Families might want to stay away from the Millenium tower...or bring earplugs with you.
“Nice location for a family”
The location in Dublin was extremely convenient. We had four in our group and were able to find great restaurants, shopping site-seeing, all out side our door. Plus there is an amazing grocery store right next store. The rooms were pretty stripped down, but we didn't expect much.
“Switched hotels....then was satisfied”
We switched hotels with the same company, as soon as we arrived in Dublin. Then we were satisfied. Center of the city, and close to everything. We took a tour to the Blarney Castle, and the city of Cobb. A worthwhile tour to take. All in all, the four of us, two sons 23 and 26 yrs old, thoroughly enjoyed our first trip to Dublin, Ireland.
“Great Location”
Apartment in a great central location for Dublin City.
“decent place to stay in dublin”
Stay Dublin's main feature is it's apartment atmosphere. When you walk in you have a narrow hallway with a bathroom to the left. Also, the apartment has it's own heater, so there is enough hot water for two quick showers per day. Otherwise, you have to power boost it. The beds are cheap and uncomfortable. The kitchenette is nice, but new to europe and I was unfamiliar with how to operate stove and staff very unhelpful. Also, if you fly in early, do not expect early check-ins before 3pm! They do not accomodate and we were exhausted being up all night. Good points: close to city centre, walking distance to most things in dublin, kitchenette plus for groceries, since restaurant food is pricy.
“apartment is in a very good position, but could do with a make over.”
In a excellant position of the city, with easy access to almost everything, but the apartment is in need of a complete make over. fairly clean, but not at all looked after. We found the staff were very friendly and helpful. Cant compare the internet pics to the real thing, which is a shame.
“Moderately satisfied. The location and size of the apartment were good.”
Several issues: venetian blinds in two of the rooms were near collapse and could not be adjusted or they would fall. There was no ventilation in bathroom, steaming after a shower and smells were problematic. There were no directions for the use of the appliance, this was a problem with the washer/dryer as we could not get our clothes dry. The only means of ventilating the apartment was open windows but it was a noisy street. We talked to the concierge who noted that there were other units that might be available. In the future I would have questioned where the apartment was located, noisy neighborhood, etc. so that a choice and more information about the location would have been useful.
“Good location”
The sofas smelled of urine.
“Call before you go”
The first location in the millenium building was sketch. The second location on Augustine street was much nicer but getting to your room was a bit of a maze. Be sure if you have small kids or someone who doesn't do stairs or is handicapped that you tell them that before you book. Also, some of them do not speak English very well.
“Not impressed”
Room not available at check in time. Sofa bed broken, tho they did provide a cot when notified. Dryer didn't work. Needed to buy own hand soap, toilet paper refill, and laundry detergent. Overpriced for low level of service, but good location. Worried about fire safety - one key and if someone was away, room couldn't be locked/unlocked from within or away person couldn't get back in on his own.
