“I would definitely go back”
This hotel is great!!! I absolutely love it. The hotel is clean, confortable and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is excelent. I would go back there again and I would recomend to anyone.
“No Frills Comfort”
This is a typical, good quality, tourist hotel in central Dublin. This was a very clean hotel, the rooms are small, but you aren't in it often - if you're doing your vacation right... The bathroom is small but well appointed. The shower was nice but it was hard to get the water temperature right... there's a trick to it. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. The location couldn't be better. The Aircoach dropped us off right in front and it was only maybe a 10 minute walk to Grafton Street. The elevator sounded odd but don't worry, that's common in smaller hotels in Europe. I'd stay here again.
“Ireland”
O'Callaghan Mont Clare was very nice. The staff were very friendly and helpful with obtaining transportation around Ireland. The hotel is far enough away from Grafton and Temple Bar that you get some peace and quiet, but close enough to have easy access to the shops and pubs in those areas.
“Won't go again”
The hotel staff was mixed - some were very helpful and nice, several were curt and unpleasant. They generally were NOT informed about things that hotel staff should know - such as bus schedules. The rooms were small but that was ok -- it's an old building. The sheets and towels were fine, the blankets and spreads were of very quesstionable cleanliness. We kept getting locked out of our rooms because the key card system wasn't working right. One night, we didn't have power in any outlets and were told it was because of our faulty converters -- we persisted and they discovered a blown fuse affecting the whole floor. I won't book us into a O'Callaghan hotel again.
“Won't stay there again”
The staff was quite helpful and very nice. The rooms kind of smelled though I had to ask them to come up and do something about the carpet because it smelled like dirty feet. It was situated in a really busy corner area of the city that was a little too busy for me. All in all I wouldnt go back to the hotel for another stay although, like I said, the staff was really nice and courteous. They were willing to help me on the spot. I would recommend the staff and their professionalism but not the hotel itself. The sheets were kind of crusty too. They had kind of a funky smell to them.
“Very nice place - great location!!!”
This was the perfect place to stay in Dublin if you don't want it to be TOO NOISY!! There are lots of awesome places in Dublin that you could stay, but this place doesn't get too noisy at night. So, if after a nice long night of pubs and good times, you actually want to go to sleep, you'll be able to! This hotel is in walking distance of Grafton Street (5-10 minutes), and Temple Bar is about 15min walking. Trinity College is right down the street too, and St. Stephen's Green and Merrion Square as well. Very nice hotel - not much to do in the hotel itself, but the convenience of being near everything makes it great! Stay here if you want to sleep well, and be near all of the best stuff in Dublin! PS - Check out Oliver St. John Gogarty's!!! AWESOME trad Irish music!!
“Good place in Dublin”
This is an inexpesive and stylish place in a beautiful part of Dublin. Couldn't recommend it higher for a short stay.
“Awesome place to stay”
You will not regret choosing this hotel. Very happy with everything
“Dublin's Gem”
This place was absolutely wonderful! We stayed here for 3 nights for the end of our Ireland trip. The hotel is older but you wouldn't know it. Rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet. The breakfast we had (not included in the price) was especially good and was a good way to start our day. It was in a convenient location and close to lots of sights in Dublin. The Hop On/Hop Off bus was available nearby which was very convenient. We plan on visiting Ireland again and we'll definitely be staying here again.
“you get what you pay for”
This has probably been the smallest hotel room I have ever stayed in, very uncomfortable no room for more than one suit case, unless you dump one in the closet, but it was clean at least. But if ever back in Dublin woul definitively not stay there again.
