“Parkway Guesthouse: Good value and service”

Seamus, the owner, manager is a very welcoming chap,. Helped me figure out to use my international phone.. We stayed in a family room, had one double bed and two singles. Clean and cute with nice high ceilings.Great Irish breakfast with eggs,yogurt, cereal, toast, bacon, sausage,tomatoes tea,coffee,juice. The server remembered the day before I did not eat the sausage so the next day she offered me eggs and hash browns. Good location walking diastase to O"Connell Street.

“wonderful bed and breakfast”

Parkway guesthouse is a great place to stay its 5 min walk to city centre. Rooms are beautiful and so clean and cosy and breakfast will fill you up for the day, its so nice with a choice of so much and yes again amazing coffee.!!!

“Very friendly hotel”

We had an early start after our one night stay in Dublin at the end of a fantastic trip in Ireland. On arrival the owner was very friendly and helpful, he gave us a parking permit and good directions. He was happy to set us up an early breakfast and it felt like nothing would be too much trouble. Our room was clean and spacious with a good shower and comfortable beds in a good location just a short walk from O'Connell Street and down to the river.

“Nice but small”

The service was very nice, but the single room was very tight. You couldn't spend much time in the hotel other than to sleep in the bed because there was barely enough space to get ready in the morning. The location was nice, not noisy, just a short walk to everything.

“Very Basic but okay!!”

The room was very basic but clean. There was plenty of hot water and the mattress was comfortable. The breakfast was very good and the owner was great. This is a located in an old building so don't expect a Hyatt!

Hotel location was great, short walk to centre of town. Hotel itself was nice - basic, not posh - but had everything we needed. It was clean, comfortable and quiet. The owner and staff were friendly and helpful.

“don't stay at Parkway”

We had reserved our room at the Parkway Guesthouse month prior to our arrival in Dublin, based on decent reviews. Enroute, as our taxi driving was driving, the surrounding conditions kept worsening to the point that I thought maybe I had the wrong address. The area is dirty, run-down, and garbage-ridden. While only a 5-10 minute walk to City Center, it is definitely in a run-down are of town, and I found out later is described as "the low budget area". Seamus, the proprieter, checked us in, making the comment that "Americans always have questions". The sitting area of the guesthouse looks run-down with old, worn out furniture. Our room had a musky, dank odor. The walls were barren, and the beds very uncomfortable. There were no supplies for the small bathroom or shower. The whole feel of the place was negative and funky. We left our luggage and walked around the city for a few hours, looking for other places. We quickly found out that there were many other B and B's and hotels available that were nicer and less expensive. We found Seamus to be unfriendly as well. I do not recommend staying at Parkway.
