“Can you sleep with your head on an amp?”
If you're not planning on sleeping in your room before 2.00am then this hotel would be fine, it's very basic and the decor leaves something to be desired, but it's clean enough and let's face it for the price I paid I wasn't expecting luxury. However after a massive night out on the Saturday and a full-on day on the Sunday, we finally gave up at about 8.00pm to retire to the hotel to chill for the evening. Or so we thought. Our room, along with all the others on the first floor, was directly above the bar where live music was playing all night until about 2.00am in the morning. On a bad hang over when all you need is sleep I can only liken this to torture. I wouldn't stay there again if I was paid, therefore definitely not a bargain. I was quite puzzled as to how they thought they could get away with renting rooms right above the bar when there is obviously no soundproofing whatsoever - and I thought I could sleep on a washing line! If you want somewhere small and cheap to lay your head for a few hours and you've got the ability to sleep with your head on an amp then you might be ok. Shame as the location is great.
