I never write reviews (Everyone says that) but had to say this hotel was amazing. I have stayed in some wonderful hotels on my travels but what set this one apart where the staff. From the front desk, the doormen, the bar staff and everyone else who worked there I have never met more friendly and helpful people. They made my stay memorable
The hotel is impeccable, we didn't eat there so I cannot comment on the food but the rooftop bar is the jewel in the crown. The pool area is lovely and the rooms are great...

Interesting use of old townhouses - characterful and comfortable.
Breakfast was great as was provision of tea/coffee/cake in the afternoon & evening at no extra cost.
Brilliant location for rugby stadium and close to DART for city centre which is also within walking distance (30 mins).

discovered the Schoolhouse via the web and it was better than described - wonderful friendly and helpful staff, delightful room with canopy bed and a great Fall view out the window, excellent food, and a short walk to Merrion Park. each room is titled for a famous author such as Oscar Wilde or James Joyce and we went around checking to see whose names rated memorializing. the history of St Stephen's school was quite interesting as well.

We arrived late on a Friday evening for a 2 night stay in November 2014. I had not stayed there before and the hotel was much more spacious and attractive than I was expecting with a spacious lobby area and attentive service from friendly receptionists. The hotel was humming with activity but we were able to get parking in the spacious carpark without difficulty. We assumed as the hotel was full that we would hear lots of late night revellers and early risers but had an undisturbed sleep in what was obviously a very soundproof and comfortable room. the room was a bit too cool but there was no delay in sending a staff member to sort out the temperature and unusually it was not too hot in the middle of the night as hotel rooms frequently are. Did not eat in the hotel - had drinks only in the bar so cannot comment on the food.
