“Convenient and comfortable”

The Schoolhouse is well-located just a few minutes walk from the centre, but in a quiet location and it has a free car park. The rooms are very comfortable. The breakfast staff could do with smiling once in a while - my only complaint!

“Very nice accommodation”

Lovely breakfast, massive bed, nice modern LCD TV. Spotlessly clean.

“Beautiful Hotel”

Would highly recommend this hotel.Superbly situated for Dublin centre, but far enough out for peace and quiet.Adjoining bar/pub can become very busy, but staff were both efficient and friendly as were all hotel staff. If you get an oppurtunity dine in the hotels award winning Canteen restaurant as the food and service was first class.Cannot recommend this atmospheric and friendly hotel enough.

“Am looking forward to a return visit.”

I was very impressed with this very good hotel, only the lack of storage draws in the furniture and a poor shower in our room prevents me from marking it as excellent hotel. Despite these two minor comments, it would be at the top of my list of places to stay for my next trip to Dublin.

“enjoyed our stay”

Every member of the staff we had dealings with were extremely friendly and very helpful with all our requests. Location is handy to the hop on hop off bus and not far from the city centre.

“Would certainly come back to this hotel...”

For those ladies travelling alone on business this hotel is a good choice to make. Friendly, safe enviroment. Good restaurant and seperate bar on site. Rooms very quiet and comfortable. I would certainly return if the rates where as good as this stay.

“Would Stay Again”

We were very thrilled with the School House Hotel. The location was convenient to town as well as being close to transportation (D7 bus). The hotel staff was absolutely fantastic and more than willing to help us with anything. The only issue we had was an house alarm in the neighborhood next to the hotel went off for about thirty hours straight. However, the hotel staff did everything they could to fix the issue even though it wasn't there problem. We would recommend this hotel to anyone!

“Beautiful Hotel”

The hotel was beautiful and looked exactly like it did in the pictures!! My husband and I both enjoyed the breakfast, which was wonderful!!!! The hotel is within a twenty-minute walk of Temple Bar and Grafton Street. Our favorite part of our stay was the pub in the hotel, which ended up being our favorite pub in Dublin!! It was very atmospheric and the bartenders were outstanding. You can also order from the Canteens (the hotels award-winning restaurant) menu in the pub without needing a reservation!! We had a wonderful stay at the hotel and would definitely go back!!!

“loved this small hotel”

One of the nicest hotels I have experienced anywhere. It may be listed as only a 4 star, but we received 5 start service here. They went out of their way to make everything brilliant for my daughter and I, and my son and his girlfriend. I will definitely stay here when I am lucky enough to return to Ireland - soon, I hope.

“Like coming home every night”

This was truly the nicest place I've ever stayed at while traveling. Although it is called a hotel, it has more of a bed-and-breakfast feel, because of the comfortable friendly way that all the front desk receptionists and the restaurant staff treat you. I stayed there a full week (was in Dublin for a conference) and every evening when I trekked back from the chaos of downtown Dublin, I could finally see it up ahead like an oasis of calm and coziness. It was really like "coming home" after a day of work. Whoever was on duty at the front desk would hand me my roomkey and ask how my day went, and we would visit a little. They were also very helpful when I asked tourist kinds of questions. The food in the restaurant (I ate both breakfasts and dinners there) was absolutely superb, with very generous helpings, and the ambiance with the candles and the fireplace glowing made it all a very "special" experience. I also loved my room. (You don't often say that about a hotel!)
