Fantastic Location

Posted Oct 9, 2014
Pros: We loved the location. Restaurants and convenience stores, Luas, busses, malls..everything right there within a block or so.
Cons: There was an issue of luggage storage. We arrived early in the morning and checkin wasn't until 3 pm.
Right across from Temple Bar and Merchants Arch - you can't get much better than that. The apartment was spacious, clean, very comfortable and met our needs perfectly.

Noisy place to stay.

Posted Sep 12, 2014
Pros: Room size was ok.
Cons: Double glaze all windows, to keep some of the noise away from bedrooms. Not a pleasant stay when you leave so tired. Some reception staff were rude.
Location: Everything was within walking distance from hotel. The hop on hop off bus was well worth the money to see most areas. Despite having a car parked.
Very difficult to find, don't try to drive there. Noisy place from early morning till late at night. So a good night sleep is unlikely. Restaurant below dragging chairs in at night around 11pm, then again around 6:30 am. Add in the drunks yelling and screaming under your window late at night, then the street cleaners early in the morning, as well as truck deliveries early in the morning on nearby streets. Sleeping is difficult. On the up side, it is close to town and walking distance to anywhere. The apartment was quite reasonable as far as room was concerned. No parking facilities, however the shopping centre nearby offers reasonable rates to leave a car over night.

super location!

We really liked the location and the staff was very helpful. The bedding was nice and comfortable. The problem is that about midnight, a man entered our apartment with a key. He looked confused and quickly left but afterwards we didn't feel very safe and didn't sleep well even though we put a chair by the door. The nice thing was the kitchen was well stocked and it had tea and coffee and milk and sugar. Plus the location was unbelievable. There was a market literally 5 steps away and the Temple Bar was really close too....a five minute walk. There was no remote for the TV and the floors were sticky and some of the flooring looked in disrepair. But again, the location is unbeatable and the staff was nice.

Great sized apartment

We stayed in the apartment with our 3 kids and this proved to be a great choice compared to using a Hotel as we could make some of our own meals and enjoy the extra space.

Excellent location for enjoying the city

Posted Aug 3, 2014
Pros: Central location and was clean and comfortable.
Cons: The appliances should be checked on a regular basis as the toaster did not work and the dryer part of the washing machine also did not work.
Location: Excellent for families as everything is within walking distance.
Loved dublin and the location was perfect. It was a good base for site seeing and excellent shopping right on the door step.

Noisy!

Posted Jul 24, 2014 on Hotels.com
The Staycity apartments is only a good choice if you need extra space and you are a heavy sleeper. My family and I chose this hotel because it offered a bedroom, living room and kitchen for a decent price. The location is very good. The bed was really comfortable. It quickly goes downhill from there. The windows are very thin and I could hear EVERYTHING from the alley below. I could hear voices all night and very loud birds in the morning. Also, the hotel has interior doors that slam super LOUDLY. Combine those factors and I was barely able to sleep at night. It was a BAD experience. Maybe I should have had a few pints of Guinness to aide in my sleep....Also, the condition of the apartment is not ideal. Things are old and stale.
