“Nice Local Pub O'briens Old and Unchanged for over 100 Years”
6th Floor really nice gym and Cafe / tea room.
“Low cost”
This was not a 4 star hotel, as advertised. Our room was not air conditioned, however we did receive a small fan when we requested one. Even though temperatures were mild, our 7th floor room got very stuffy with a west window that only cracked open at the top by tilting in. Pillows were flat as pancakes. Hair dryer would not stay on unless you held the button continuously. Apparently the 6th floor was much nicer, perhaps the 6th floor was '4 star', but they also wanted a lot more euros to stay on that floor. For the price, don't expect resort quality as a 4 star would give in the states.
“Good price”
Was only there for 24 hours but would recommend this to others. Would stay there again if I'm on Dublin again! Thanks!
“Burlington Dublin”
Hotel was very comfortable and convenient. We cannot offer much insight about the restaurant. We only ate one meal there: Sun brunch. That was fine. We had only one unfortunate experience. When we booked, we asked for early check-in, knowing that we would be arriving after overnight transatlantic flight with little sleep. Hotel advised during booking that they were fully booked on the evening before, and may not be able to accommodate. Upon arrival, we had to wait for several hours. Nothing the hotel staff could do, and they did warn us in advance, so all that is OK. It's just unfortunate.
“Dublin hotel”
A really beautiful hotel. I would stay there again. Problems were 1. no air conditioning, and even at 60F outside, it felt hot on the 5th floor at night. 2. Wireless internet OK in lobby but doesn't work on upper floors. Tthey gave us a cable for wired internet and it didn't work.3. Quite a hike to popular things like Temple Bar or St Stephens Green but many good restaurants close by. Canal Bank and Da Vincenzo's the best. I go to Dublin often and never miss going to these two. Closer to Aviva stadium (that replaced Landsdowne) and the American Embassy and the many great restaurants at that end of town.
“A wonderful experience”
A wonderful experience. Dinner and the Irish song and dance program were extraordinary. rooms were great.
“For the price, a good hotel with a lively bar.”
The hotel staff were responsive and generally helpful. Our room phone was not working and never was fixed during our 4-day stay. The hotel, after three days, offered to provide a new room with a working phone but it was not worth the trouble of moving. Our guest room was clean and basic. Amenities such as a clock and blow dryer were not in the room. While the hotel has no air conditioning, for some reason the windows only open a couple of inches. Our room faced west and got the afternoon sun, so warm weather days made the room very hot. We closed the curtains each morning on our way out to keep the sun out, but housekeeping opened them so when we returned to the room it was hot. Granted, the warm weather while we were there was an anomaly. All in all, a good basic hotel used to serving travelers from all over.
“Met all expectations. Would like to return soon.”
The Burlington provided a spacious twin-double room in a quiet wing of the hotel. We appreciated the tea and coffe service in the room, the immaculate bath linens, hair dryer, etc. Staff were always helpful. We particularly liked being able to take tea or light meal in the lounge. It was an easy place to gather with friends. The hotel location provides easy access on foot or by bus to central Dublin and beyond.
“THE GRESHAM HOTEL, OR THE SHELBOURNE DUBLIN RENAISSANCE”
HOTEL WAS NICE BUT WAY OFF THE MAINE PART OF THE CITY. ALSO THE ROOMS WERE VERY HOT ,STUFFY NOT COMFORTABLE. FOR THE PRICE I COULD HAVE STAYED CLOSER IN THE CITY FOR THE SAME PRICE OR LESS.
“Nice Hotel but location not great”
This is a very nice hotel in Dublin. The staff was extremely accommodating and helpful. As with many hotels in Europe the quality is not as good as the States, but this was pretty close. I was fortunate enough to stay in the renovated portion which was much better than the older rooms. The hotel was quiet and very clean. My only complaint is that the hotel is not close to the "touristy" part of Dublin. It's a 20 min walk to the Temple bar area, Dublin Castle, Trinity College and all the other major tourist sites. Some people may prefer that but we wanted a little livelier experience. Overall great hotel and I would def recommend it.
