Great hotel in a handy location.Posted Apr 30, 2015
Pros: Location, staff, food.
Location: It is about 20 mins walk from the centre of Dublin, but there are plenty of bars/restaurants on the doorstep and a Tesco Express (50 yards away).
Our room looked like it had been recently refurbished, and was very nice indeed. The hotel was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. Unfortunately the pool was closed for maintenance when we stayed but as an apology the hotel gave us a free breakfast everyday we were staying, which wouldn't have been included in the price we paid. Although we were disappointed at first, we felt this was a reasonable offer and happily took the free breakfast, which was very good indeed. There was a good selection of fruit, continental and cooked breakfast, and we tried everything! We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in a well located friendly clean hotel.

Nice hotel, in a good locationPosted Apr 28, 2015
Pros: Facilities and location
Location: Near St Stephens Green and Grafton Street
Hotel was in a good location for St Stephens Green and the Grafton Street shopping area. We were only there for one night but had a pleasant stay. Rooms are comfortable and nicely decorated and had been refurbished since the last time we visited. Rooms had comfy beds, good choice of pillows and tea and coffee making facilities. Unfortunately during our stay the pool was closed due to unforeseen circumstances, so I cannot make recent comment about the leisure facilities. All the staff were friendly and helpful. They ordered us a taxi back to the airport and stored our luggage for us. We ate a meal in the hotel restaurant and this was very nice and a good choice for reasonable value. Breakfast was also good with plenty of choice and not too busy even at 9am. Would recommend this hotel for any short break in Dublin City Centre.

Great hotel, but noisy guestsPosted Apr 21, 2015
Pros: See above
Cons: Soundproofed doors & notices asking guests to be quiet in corridors. I'd have preferred aircon to noisy radiators Biscuits with the tea tray.
Location: I can't comment on the location as I was there to work long days and didn't go out n the evenings except to eat.
I stayed 4 nights as I was doing a very intensive course in Dublin. Three out of the four nights were disrupted by other guests in the corridor outside, having loud conversations. On the first two nights there was a group of teenage girls staying who were having lovely group times together and their joyful shrieks and gales of laughter kept me awake till late. So I slept very little for three nights....the one that was noise-free was blissful. The problem is that, unlike Premier Inns for example, the doors are not sound-proof and there need to be notices with pictures of the Irish equivalent of Lenny Henry sleeping and a request to keep quiet. Apart from not enough sleep, the hotel is great. My room was well equipped and spotless with a comfortable bed and a huge HD TV. The bathroom was well equipped and the bath had a rainforest shower. I had chosen the Camden Park because of the swimming pool, but it was closed for the time I was there. When I mentioned my disappointment to the man on reception he gave me complimentary breakfast to compensate, which I thought was generous.Their breakfast is fab, with a huge range of food, including excellent fresh bread, fruit salad and juices, cold meat and smoked salmon, cereals, traditional cooked breakfast items and unlimited coffee and teas. Staff were polite and helpful. Although I would not return because of the disturbed nights, I liked the hotel and would recommend it to people who don't need to get up early to go to work !

Great location for a walking tourist!Posted Apr 9, 2015
Pros: One side of the hotel, facing the courtyard, was quiet. Most guests were quiet. The foyer, a sea of chairs and only 1 TV, was good for reading.
Cons: Eliminate the space between the bottom of the door and the threshold to prevent noise from coming right under the door.
Location: Eat at BIBIS CAFE (9 to 4:30 pm) for breakfast, lunch or tea. Superb! Tour Charles Beatty Library, the Gaity Theatre, and take DART to Bray and hike
We found the hotel a good location for our walks into Dublin. We visited museums, Trinity College Dublin, and our son's apartment which was close to the hotel. It was a bit quieter than the Temple Bar area and good value for the cost. We were disappointed that the swimming pool was often closed at 7 or 7:30 pm each evening, making it impossible for our younger son to enjoy the swim after a day of touring. Bummer. We found the breakfast to be fair but not exemplary in quality.

An Easter break with 1 child.Posted Apr 8, 2015
We felt the room was too small for a family room. Also asked 3 times to have someone please come and turn the heater off in the room. One lady from house keeping came, and could not do it. Called down again twice!!!! No one came ...it was ridiculous!!!

Location: Not that close to centre.
Room was massive in terms of space but carpet, bathroom and furniture needs to be refreshed. Quite old.

Good locationPosted Mar 30, 2015
Pros: The location
Cons: May be a little bit more choice for vegetarians in the Restaurant.
Location: Good location and within walking distance of all amenities.
Wasn't too sure of the area, but how wrong was I. The hotel is situated within easy reach of everything, whether walking, riding, taxi, tram or bus. A really good hotel with all the amenities and help you want. Food a little on the pricey side, but that wasn't a problem as within walking distance of the many, many restaurants Dublin has to offer. Will definitely be looking to stay again for my next break away to Dublin. The room was exceptionally clean and all the staff were very helpful and friendly.
