Nice and clean hotel, good service, close to city

Posted Oct 28, 2014
Pros: Good service. Clean environment.
Cons: Size of TV in room!
Location: It is a 20min walking distance from the city centre and close to the croke part stadium which can kick-start your tour if there for tourism.
Very wonderful experience. Clean surroundings and helpful staff. Close to the city centre (~20mins walk) and good shuttle service for those visiting for tourism and doing a bit of sightseeing. Shuttle takes you right to the city centre to take the main service + you can buy the discounted tickets for the tour bus from the hotel reception.

Clean modern hotel.

Posted Oct 27, 2014
Pros: Modern with a friendly atmosphere and very helpful staff.
Location: Croke Park directly opposite for tours. Need to take a bus or taxi for city link. Hop on hop off bus tours very good and convenient.
Very attentive and excellent staff, modern d├ęcor, clean and tidy hotel. Lovely warm cozy atmosphere. Great food competitively priced. Definitely worth a return visit. Suitable for singles, couples and families alike. However, location is slightly out of the way, but transport links are good.

Staff are fantastic

Posted Oct 25, 2014
We stayed for a few days all of the staff made us feel so welcome. We spoke to them prior to arrival about different room options and they went out I their way to help. Everyone have us advice on where we should go for good coffee, cocktails and fun. There was also no judgment coming in at 2am after too many of said cocktails!!!

hotel was in a nice location.

Posted Oct 25, 2014
Pros: very helpful staff and very friendly.
Cons: nothing.
Location: great location.
Everything was great except we had a car rented and we cancelled it that morning. There was a problem with the car insurance. I had made several calls about this before with expedia and the car rental. The main driver was my husband so it was under his name. I wanted to add my name to the contract as I was using my visa card for the insurance. The trip was booked under my visa card not by husband's. I was told by expedia that they can add my name to the contract with no charge when we arrive as visa wanted my name on the contract for insurance reasons. The car rental company said I had to be the main driver and they could add my husband as a second driver but would charge me 10 euros a day which is about $100.00 Canadian dollars for the week. I only paid $20.00 for the car rental, so I decided to cancel the car that morning. That was the only setback on the trip. I didn't call expedia that day as I know I could not get a refund on the car, as we just cancelled that morning.

Returned to the Croke

Posted Oct 21, 2014
Pros: Air conditioning and comfortable beds.
Location: About 20 minute walk from Temple Bar area. Can book tours at the hotel. Three minutes from the Croke Stadium.
This is our third trip to Dublin this year. We tried another hotel near Temple Bar, but returned to the Croke because it's newer, cleaner and quiet. It's about a 20 minute walk to Temple Bar area or 5 - 6 Euros by taxi, which is well worth it and about 20 Euros to the airport. During summertime I would definitely go with this hotel because it has nice air conditioning. Another plus that the other hotel did not have was wi-fi in the room at no additional cost. Also, the staff was very accommodating and also gave us bottled water when we checked out. I will probably return again next year and will book my stay at this hotel.

Stopover in Dublin on the way back home (WA)

Posted Oct 18, 2014
Pros: See above
Cons: See above
Location: Can't. For us was just a stopover
Good location. Close enough to the airport. Great general facility. Highly professional, effective and efficient front desk (a jewel among hotels!). V. good rooms. Excellent restaurant: nice ambience, food cooked to perfection, excellent service (the waitress was top notch), quick response to every minor request. Somewhat limited wine list. V. Good breakfast.

Croke Park Hotel, Dublin

Posted Oct 15, 2014
Although a bit of a walk to city center, the Croke Park Hotel is well worth the stay. The staff is incredible and the amenities proved to be excellent. While breakfast was not included in the package I booked, I had the hot bar nearly everyday after learning the food is great. I strongly recommend staying at the Croke Park when visiting Dublin.
