Room with a view

Posted Jun 17, 2015
Pros: Location and decent restaurant.
Cons: Beds were not too comfortable.
Location: National museums and galleries, Trinity College, temple Bar is a short walk, pubs and plenty of restaurants.
The location is perfect. Graft on Street is very close by with restaurants and pubs. The signature rooms are very small and have a view of a wall. We left on a tour and asked for an upgrade to a view of St. Stevens Green when we returned. They had no record of my request and told me all rooms were sold out. When I mentioned trip advisor, magically a room appeared. These larger rooms are worth the extra charge. The staff was pleasant and, for the most part, accommodating.

Great central location, very accommodating staff

Posted Jun 17, 2015
Pros: Staff, Location, Style, Amenities, Balcony
Cons: Possibly serve cocktails in the main lobby during the afternoons. The bar is nice but the view from the lobby is grand + free advertising;)
Location: Grafton St., St. Stephen's Green, Temple Bar within walking distance, Trinity College, arts, restaurants and pubs all nearby.
What an excellent spot, I will definitely return. I arrived very, very early (6am for a 3pm check-in time) and was given access to a room right away. I suspect this is because it was the middle of the week but it was still an accommodation I did not feel entitled to. On top of that, the room was an upgrade with a balcony. I was told I'd have to move after freshening up (fine by me of course, given the kind gesture), but was then informed later that afternoon that I could keep the room! So not only a super early check-in, but an upgrade as well...Wow! The room was well appointed; comfortable, yet modern. I had a balcony with a view over St. Stephen's Green and it was more than I could've hoped for. Throughout the stay, the staff were very attentive and skillfully available, yet not overbearing. I received turndown and room refresh each day and night, and while I often saw the cart, I never even saw the housekeeping staff. They were like ninjas! The hotel even offered complimentary water in the mini-bar-a first for me, anywhere...and very much appreciated given the unusually excellent weather. As a hospitality professional who teaches for a well-renowned US hospitality program, I consider it both a curse and a skill to be able to distinguish between good and excellent. The Fitzwilliam exceeded my expectations...and that is no easy feat. I have worked in the industry for my entire career & for many of the best worldwide and I highly recommend the Fitzwilliam to all

Sehr gutes Essen/glutenfrei möglich

Posted Jun 16, 2015

THE perfect hotel for a stay in Dublin!

Posted Jun 8, 2015
Pros: Absolutely everything-- even the toilet paper was luxurious!!
Cons: Not a single thing!
Location: Tons and tons of shopping, dining, nightlife--- anything you are looking for! The absolute perfect location.
We arrived exhuasted from an overnight at 830am and were able to check straight into our room without any hesitation! The room was stunningly appointed with ample storage, closet space, beautiful bathroom and amenities. Even a real orchid in the chicly decorated room! Service & breakfast were excellent. The Fitzwilliam is perfectly located on St Stephen's Green and basically right on Grafton Street.

Nice hotel with plenty around.

Posted Jun 3, 2015
A flying visit to Dublin and found the Fitzwilliam hotel very comfortable. Although I had a arrived early to check-in my room wasn't ready but they took my bag and called me as soon as it was, this giving me freedom to wonder around St Stephens green directly across from the hotel. Also having the shops near by in Graffton Street and the Luas outside the door. Staff very pleasant and friendly.

Charming hotel with excellent service

Posted May 24, 2015
Pros: Everything!
Location: The location is St Stephens Green where Grafton St comes in. Very close to shopping, dining, Temple Bar, Trinity college etc.
From the moment we walked up to the front desk we were treated to excellent service. Jonathan checked us in but our room was being cleaned. He took our luggage up to the room and then called us when the room was ready. Housekeeping was prompt and came twice daily. We ate breakfast at the hotel where again, the service was amazing. While the room was not very large, it was a good size especially by Ireland standards. There was also a cushioned window seat which was a nice place to read. The bathroom was large and lighting good.
