Convenient location but some improvements requiredPosted Jun 20, 2014
Pros Good location - convenient to central Dublin but not right in the heart of Temple Bar. Cons Cleanliness - bathroom wasn't properly cleaned on arrival however was done once pointed out to staff Wifi - advertised as having free wifi but Lombard network was not available in the room. A neighbouring network needed to be used/hijacked and even this was sporadic. Overall you get what you pay for. I've stayed in worse places but definitely stayed in a lot better.

We enjoyed our stay at the Lombard. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Our only inconvenience was the internet connectivity. The secure network was not visible in our room (room 8) the unsecured network was only available if standing by the room door.

Great LocationPosted Jun 18, 2014 on Hotels.com
The Lombard is basically a pub with rooms, there is no reception desk you check in with the bar staff ,the waitress showed us outside to a side door leading to the rooms. We stayed here recently on a visit to see Cliff Richard at the Bord Gais Energy Theatre which is only a ten minute walk, the price for our overnight stay was very competitive, the room clean and comfortable though he TV was poor quality. The double bed was two singles pushed together, not a massive problem but an actual double would be so much more comfortable, where you can‘t feel the line in the middle. The room was at the back, very noisy through out the night, noise seemed to be coming from some machine running all night and the view overlooked the smoking area of the pub. The shower tap was loose and it took ages to get it working. The pub downstairs was nice and cosy with very friendly staff and their breakfast was very good. The also held our cases in a room as we were flying out later the day we checked out.

A Brief, But Lovely StayPosted Jun 14, 2014
I was in Dublin for a conference and chose this hotel for its location - it's right across the road from Trinity College and very central generally. I was a little concerned about possible noise levels with the accommodation being above a public house but I had no need to worry. I took ear plugs, which were not really necessary, and I had a very comfortable night in a very clean and bright room. The bed was enormous and very comfortable, the room was nicely decorated and the bathroom large and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful on check-in and the food in the pub was fresh, tasty and inexpensive. I was only there for one night but I would certainly recommend this establishment to anyone visiting Dublin.

Good value for moneyPosted Jun 9, 2014
Cons: Wifi access/ connection
Nice hotel, clean and comfortable. It's above a bar that gets busy and yet, when you go to the room, it's quiet and great. Walking distance from downtown and centrally located.

Nice HotelPosted Jun 4, 2014
We recently stayed at the Lombard and thoroughly enjoyed it! The only problem we found was the parking. We had to park quite a distance away. The room was lovely and clean and the staff was quite friendly.

Bed - no breakfastPosted May 28, 2014
Pros: shower pressure and rooms were clean
Cons: be honest - there was nothing around this "hotel" to see - I would not stay there again
Location: not great - no direction from the staff, and the hotel advertised being close to certain attractions which they weren't really close.
It was not a hotel it was more like a boarding house or a B&B (without breakfast included). The hotel staff was the bartender who wrote my name in a book and handed me a key. There is no parking so I had to put money in the meter every hour to park on the street. The shower in my room did not work (#1) so they did open room #2 so I could shower, and the water pressure in that shower was surprisingly good, but that was the only good thing about my stay. The didn't even comp breakfast for my inconvenience with the shower.

Clean, but loudPosted May 23, 2014 on Hotels.com
The room was small but very clean. The bathroom had a wonderful shower and was very clean and big. However, the room was loud due to the pub downstairs. Bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper!
