Clean and quiet Room 8

Posted Apr 1, 2014
No wifi with two teenagers, definitely impacted our stay. Beds were hard but the pillows were the best of the 3 hotels we stayed at during our trip. Not a lot of extras but clean and quiet room close to Trinity College. Taxi and bus across the street are a plus.

Cold

Posted Feb 20, 2014
Pros: Nothing after that experience
Cons: A warm welcoming room and staff
On arrival (6 pm, cold and wet through), was given keys to room, room was colder than outside !! Went back down to the bar and informed the manager and was told I had to turn on all of the radiators and the room would be warm in half an hour ! An hour later the rads were still stone cold, asked for refund as the room was not fit to stay in and was told that no refunds are EVER given. Ruined the week end, wouldn't go back if you paid me. Had to move to another hotel and pay again. Stayed February 2014, travelled as a couple

Good location.

Posted Feb 13, 2014
Pros: Location and price.
Cons: Very cold bathroom! Had to keep door firmly shut or the room would have been freezing too.
Location: Walking distance from Temple Bar, The Quays & O'Connell Street.
Good place for going out. Good pub with nice food. Room at the back is not necessarily quiet as the smoking area and extractor fan are right below the rooms. Lucky enough the place was just closed by the time we went to bed, so slept soundly.

Decent

Posted Dec 30, 2013
If its just a nice comfortable room you are after with no additional hotel facilities then this fits the bill. Very nicely appointed and well sized rooms making for a very comfortable stay. There are no other facilities as such as the rooms are above a quiet pub. The room wasn't serviced (towels refreshed etc) during my two night stay which was the only minor inconvenience to note.

Not near the Temple Bar area

Posted Sep 9, 2013
We arrived early in the day (maybe 10:30-ish) and the bar tender was busy filling in some sort of ledger. He ignored us until he was finished his entries. No, there was no other place to check in, but at the bar. This hotel was not near the Temple Bar district. I suppose we should be thankful that the pub was not busy either night we were there. In fact, it was so dead, we didn't even stop in for a drink. There was not a phone in our room, and the room was quite small. On a positive note: the beds were super comfy, as were the pillows.

Great stay would return

The place is great, good old fashionned concept. The bartender is the receptionist, so check in can be a bit slow. The location is excellent. You are a 10 minutes walk from the bus station, 5 minites walk frommthe dart and 15 minutes walk from all the action. The rooms are extra clean and smell good. You may get a bit of noose from the pub downstairs but that would be the only downside

Location can't be beat.

Pros: It was in a great location to downtown Dublin. The rooms were clean and spacious. The rooms were accessible to the tenants and staff only.
Cons: The hotel could be noisy on the floor above the bar on a Friday or Saturday night.
Location: The location was great and within walking distance of many of Dublin's tourist attractions.
This Hotel is located in the downtown area of Dublin. It was within walking distance to Trinity College, museums, parks, the Guiness Storehouse, shopping, numerous bars, restraunts bus and one of the city train terminals. The hotel staff were helpful. The rooms were clean and accessible to tenants and staff only. The bar below the rooms was only noisy one night when we were there on a Friday. We did not find this bothersome as the party was over around 1:00 am. For many coming to downtown Dubin this is part of the ambience. We stayed there for three nights when we first got to Dublin and for one night before we left the country. The staff helped us with our bags and booked a cab for us. I would recommend this Hotel to couples or singles looking for a place that is central to the downtown area of Dublin.

Great location

Pros: The location was ideal. It was quiet on week nights and really never got loud until Friday night when the Pub filled up.
Cons: May be a bit noisy on Friday or Saturday night. That may be a good thing for some. Ear plugs took care of that for me.
Location: It was an excellent location, downtown, close to all tourist interests.
This hotel was in any ideal locatin, within walking distance of Trinity College, the museums, etc. The rooms were clean.
