“This hotel will make us return to Dublin”

Friendly and professional staff, beautifully appointed rooms, and lovely atmosphere make this hotel a joy to come back to after a day seeing Dublin. Afternoon tea is great, (you can have tea and scones if you can't manage the full works and you would like to have dinner). Food and wine in the Cellar Restaurant is very good, if a little expensive. Our room in the Garden wing was lovely although the T.V. was a bit passed its sell by date and there are no tea and coffee making facilities. We could live with the cons because the pros are so many. We will return to this hotel.

“Fabulous Child Friendly 5star Hotel in the Centre”

My wife and I together with our 17month boy stayed at the Merrion because it had a pool, stated it was child friendly and was in the town centre. On arrival all the staff were more than helpful from helping us unload the hire car and parking it for us (they offer a very reasonable secure valet parking service)to arranging our dinner reservations and special requests for our little boy. Our stay was relaxed and thouroughly enjoyable made even more so by the surroundings and amenities of the Hotel (they have a lovely courtyard and lounges and a large indoor pool). Whilst a very reputable 5star hotel with a rather grand presence - the staff made us feel at home and went out of thier way to look after us and our little boy. It is also close to the Galaries, Temple bar and there is a lovely little park in Merrion Square where there is a childrens play area if you have a little one.

“Merrion Top Tier Hotel in Central Dublin”

The hotel was definitely in the very top tier of hotels at which I have stayed worldwide in the last 20+ years of international travel in Europe, Asia and North America. Service was low-key but omnipresent, the room in the Garden Wing large, modern and comfortable with a great garden view, all amenities were offered, the hotel's fine location was near St. Stephen's Green and the Grafton Street shopping district, etc. The restaurants and bars were good, but expensive (as one might expect). All-in-all, congratuations to the hotel staff and management, thank you for a comfortable, relaxing stay at your property.

“Fantastic hotel - great location and great staff.”

We really enjoyed this wonderful hotel. The location is fantastic, close to National Gallery, St Stephens Green and great shopping. The best part of the hotel was the staff, we could not have asked for a better stay. Highly recommend this hotel.

“Impeccable Service”

My wife and I had an impeccable stay at the Merrion for seven days. We found the hotel a home away from home. Its comforting personal service and executive style room were outstanding. The amenities included with the room such as unlimited high-speed wireless for my laptop, beautiful swimming pool, exercise room and equipment were included with no extra charges. The sitting areas, bar, and restaurant made you feel comfortable as if you were at home. We loved the smell of the wood burning fireplaces when we entered the hotel in the evening. The gas heaters made sitting outside a nice way to relax day or evenings. The pictures on the walls caused us to linger as we walked to the spotlessly shined brass-door elevators. Everyone greeted us with a good morning, afternoon, or evening when we met the staff and maintenance personnel and they were quite helpful and extremely courteous. Our minor requests were seen too promptly, such as not putting the bedspread on when making bed and replenishing ice bucket between six and seven nightly. If perfecto service and staff coupled with a free glass of wine after you arrived at the hotel bar is your desire than this is definitely the hotel in Dublin. By our good fortune, it was a perfect place to stay!

“If not for all there is to do and see in Dublin, we wouldn't have left property!”

Very refined and gentile property without the stuffiness. Beautiful atmosphere and lovely artwork throughout. Rooms are serene and abundantly comfortable. Awesome marble baths and premium toiletries. Time meals during your stay accordingly so you can enjoy the afternoon tea in the remarkable lobby.

“Wonderful - Better than we could have hoped”

The Merrion was fantastic. It was the last hotel we stayed in after a trip around Southern Ireland. We were treated like royalty. The staff couldn't have been more pleasant and helpful. The scones melted in your mouth. We investigated some other doors and found another entrance to one of the old Georgian townhomes and saw amazing plaster work. The architecture is beautiful. Our room looked out onto the wonderful garden. The Merrion deserves every star they get.

“Great stay”

The hotel lived up to expectations. Extras were a bit pricy, but the service is excellent so you have to pay for that. Overall a really nice stay and a real treat.
