I stayed at this hotel 3/11/2013 no heating, room freezing water was dripping down the wall , no water to make Coffee next morning water was black.i rang the hotel the following Tuesday as I felt hard done by, I was told the manager would ring me . Well there is an saying . Often has a man cut a rod to beat himself . I wonder if our club will be most next Sunday , as trere were about 35 of us there needless to say I got no phone call back

Amazing value for money! great staffPosted Nov 8, 2013
Pros: everything, but a hotel is nothing without good staff and the Regency had great staff.
Location: nice wee distance from the centre to be qiet enough while close enough to get there easy
stayed 2 nights here on my first trip to Dublin, room was first class and had everything and more than needed, very comfortable and clean! The staff were excellent too from start to finish...wish I had stayed longer!!

Not what we rememberedPosted Sep 30, 2013
Pros: We like the location. It is close enough to both the airport and downtown and easy access to bus service for both.
Cons: In the past, one of the tour companies had space in the lobby and could help accommodate tour needs. No concierge service to speak of.
We had stayed here twice before. We were aware of the ongoing remodeling. However, we were put in a room with torn carpeting, an unworking shower and neighbors that kept us up all night despite several warnings to them from the front desk. Staff did not see any value in fixing this even upon our prearranged return later in the week.

Quick trip to DublinPosted Sep 29, 2013
Pros: Friendly staff, nothing was too much effort.
Cons: Could be refurbished. Dated rooms with peeling paint.
Location: Little bit far to walk in to the heart of Dublin although Bus stop very close by and reasonable taxi fares
Stayed two nights in this Hotel. Quaint rooms and delightful staff.Could do with some updating/renovating.

Shabby hotel, shabby roomsPosted Sep 10, 2013 on Hotels.com
Don't bring the missus, it was perfect or us as we were there for a match. Grand location but rooms and hotel is old and shabby. It wasnt' very dirty but old and dusty. Grand for a few lads to hang around.

Hotel was alright, room very basic and receptionists had difficulty in understanding us as english was not their first language. Did try their best and reffered us to their Irish colleagues when they couldnt help. Leisure centre beautiful.Would advise to request one of the new rooms as the old ones are below basic and not maintained well.

hotel itself was in need of some superficial improvements but bedroom and bathroom were clean and well maintained. We ate in the bar and cannot find any fault in the food on offer. It was very good and fairly priced, the service was excellent, the staff were very friendly and very efficient. Breakfast on offer was buffet style, offering variety of juices, cereals, yoghurts and cooked breakfasts of bacon eggs sausages etc Hotel was well placed for easy access to airport and generally was good value for money.
