Smart Hotel with good central location.Posted Feb 20, 2014
Pros: Central location, excellent facilities and helpful friendly staff.
Cons: Difficult to improve maybe bedroom size larger but certainly adequate and very comfortable.
Location: Central Dublin at its best with all entertainment and St. Stephens Green nearby.
Excellent weekend in Dublin with all facilities in easy walking distance whether it be shops, theatre, restaurants, galleries or Aviva Stadium not far away!

Perfect location- walk to everything!Posted Feb 17, 2014
The Westbury is a lovely hotel with excellent staff in a great location. The team was incredibly attentive. Not much needed improvement but we got the impression that they would be there to help whenever necessary. Beautiful decor - not too modern to abandon its European roots, yet not pretentiously antiquey. The sheets felt like 25,000 thread. And the beds were dreamily comfortable. The room service was timely and not outrageously priced like many 5-star hotels can be. Overall highly recommended - from a seasoned business and leisure traveller.

A Proper HotelPosted Feb 17, 2014
Cons: Not cheap but still very enjoyable.
We travel a lot staying in a variety of different hotels. This reminded us what a proper hotel should be like. Fantastic location, fantastic rooms and most importantly fantastic staff. We would thoroughly recommend The Westbury.

Nice hotel, excellent locationPosted Feb 11, 2014
Pros: Public areas within the hotel are lovely, staff are pleasant, very helpful and well dressed. The location is excellent and the main reason we booked.
Cons: A larger bathroom, a walk-in shower rather than a shower 'over the bath' and sealing-up adjoining rooms would improve noise levels between rooms.
Location: Location is first-class, just a minutes walk from Grafton St on which a shoppers paradise exists; 'Brown Thomas' is akin to Selfridges/Harvey Nichols!
We arrived at the hotel around 12pm on 08/02/14 for two nights, just to drop our luggage off and were gratefully informed that we could check-in; a serving of hot towels to freshen up and the offering of a helping hand with our luggage was appreciated. The hotel staff were polite, helpful and not a bit pretentious. The hotel lift was fabulous with it's impeccably polished mirrors and leather topped seat; a welcome sight after a days shopping. We stayed in a 'superior room' (255) which sufficed nicely; clean, tidy and the bed/ pillows were very very comfy. The bathroom was too small for two people to use simataneously but adequate in terms of function. We did find the 'adjoining room' an issue though, as any 'noise' was easily heard; people chatting, the TV and hairdryer (etc), so we had two very sleepless nights. We didn't spend much time in the hotel, other than sleeping but it's worth noting, that the public areas were extremely well kept and were filled with quality furniture; the big open fire and huge chandeliers were amazing! We didn't take breakfast due to planned 'late starts' but there are plenty of local eating places including Bewleys, who do serve the most delicious bagels with cream cheese. The hotel is renowned for afternoon tea and there is a convenient basement Cafe where you can go to watch sports. We spent alot of time visiting the local pubs and there are too many to mention but ONeills was great fun!! Check out was swift and overall a nice stay - thankyou!

Central. good restaurants and shopping.Posted Feb 9, 2014
Pros: character. walking distance to all attractions. Good pubs in area.
Cons: smoker in room next door...alarm not working.
Location: central Dublin. Close to everything.
Second time there. For a smart hotel, the staff are really chilled and pleasant. Sometimes the staff in hotels like this are pretty snooty which irritates me. Nice lounge area and bar.
