value for money accomodation

Posted Feb 26, 2015
Pros: room was clean , bed linen spotless ,staff friendly and helpful
Cons: Bathroom could do with a revamp.bath was chipped and wall grab rail was loose.Towels were a bit on the thin side but very clean.
Location: located on an approach to a busy roundabout ,this made entering and leaving the site difficult
stayed one night before catching an early flight, had a comfortable night ,although there was a bit of traffic noise as our room was close to the roundabout .Had a very nice breakfast in the cafe bar which was open at 7am.

Mediocre Hotel Close To Dublin Airport

Posted Jan 21, 2015
Pros: - Close to Dublin Airport - The Hotel staff was very friendly - (After we arrived) we found out there's a shuttle that runs to/from the airport (3 EUR/person) every hour - The room was spacious Cons: - The room we were in had the heat turned off (so it was freezing when we arrived). It took 45 minutes to figure out how to turn it on and get the room warmed up - The condition of the room was dated/run-down (the walls had nicks/chips/scratches, the couch in our room looked to be 20 years old, and the bed/carpet/bathroom looked very old as well) - No free Wi-Fi - For only a few dollars more per night there are other surrounding hotels (that I've stayed at) that are far superior

One night stay

Posted Dec 15, 2014 on Hotels.com
Booked a triple room for one night to be close to airport without paying airport rates. Check in staff friendly , helpful and informative. Room had everything we needed and really comfortable. Only 5 min drive from Dublin airport with shuttle service regularly available. Good all you can eat breakfast for €9 per person and really friendly and helpful waiter to top up coffee, juice etc. 5 min drive fro Swords centre where there is a great shopping mall. Overall met all our requirements and would def go back as great value fir money but again fairly basic but if you want the comforts of a 5* then expect to pay way more!!

Won't stay here next time in dublin

Posted Dec 14, 2014 on Hotels.com
Hotel was under renovation. My room had no phone which I needed to call front desk when my door was unlocked and someone walked in during middle of night. He said he was the manager and walked back out. Bathtub filled up with water to top while taking a short shower. No trash cans. Need to quality control room before it is available to guests.

Close to airport, good price

Posted Dec 10, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Perhaps a few more toiletries
Location: The hotal is basically on a roundabout so nothing immediate but Malahide village is quite close.
This hotel is close to the airport, less than 10 euro cab ride (and I found out later it has a shuttle service). It is a good price but it is very basic. No hair dryer, no iron I can perhaps understand but no shampoo is perhaps cutting things a bit too much. The room is spacious and if you realise that you get what you pay for then the hotel is certainly adequate. I would use again in similar circumstances but would have a hard time recommending to a friend.

Weekend Break

What can we say, other than yet another thoroughly enjoyable, very comfortable stay at Swords Travel Lodge. Really comfy beds and a great nights sleep. Wonderful staff, always willing to help.
