Basic good valuePosted Sep 4, 2014
Pros: Location. Value
Cons: Bed leg was a bit wobbly - double check before check in?
Location: Near to motorway and Phoenix Park.
Basic good value hotel. Nearby pubs & restaurants in Castleknock are nice (and the bakery) and convenient for motorway and Phoenix Park.

Inexpensive hotelPosted Sep 2, 2014
Location: Phoenix park area of Dublin.
Nice hotel on the outskirts of Dublin, but only a short bus ride to downtown. Friendly staff and a decent cafe on site.

A Nice Travelodge. Get what you pay for.Posted Aug 15, 2014
Pros: Hotel was cheap and cheerful. Not far from the airport and Downtown Dublin. There is a Restaurant on the side which had good Breakfasts. Open earlyish
Cons: No Free WiFi as it suggests, you have to pay for it. Bathroom fixtures where falling off the walls. No Elevators.
Location: The Travelodge is in the middle of a very busy intersection and you can hear traffic at all times. Nice Town short walk away with lovely restaurants.
Travelodge was clean, close to Dublin. Pretty basis but reasonable for the price. There is a lovely little town a short walk away. Lovely restaurants. Intersection/junction quite complicated for a non native driver.

Ok for a nights kip but that's allPosted Aug 4, 2014
Rooms were very basic, I know it's just a travel lodge but it just seemed like it was even more basic than normal. Things like no hairdryer and shampoo in the room, no spare plugs for charging your phone's and so on. Also charge you for wifi. We waited over an hour and 10 mins for breakfast. Someone did see to us quickly but didn't tell any other member of staff so our table was then given away to other people that came in later than us. We were then seen again by someone else who then finally sorted us out with a table. We ordered breakfast and the tea arrived pretty much straight away but then we waited 50 mins for our breakfast until the point came that we were going to miss our flight so we had to leave. Still no breakfast. We then went into the hotel to get our bags and the fire alarm was going off, luckily it was a false alarm and we were allowed to go up to our room and get our bags.. but no one knew how to switch the alarm off. It was going for ages. Thank goodness it wasn't the middle of the night. I must say that the breakfast things was not any part of the waitresses as they were a absolutely flat out running around trying to serve people so full credit to them.. The manager was even clearing tables. But still over an hour for a fry up.....

Gave Room Away. Despite me already checking in!Posted Jul 21, 2014
I booked in as I was attending a wedding in Dublin. I arrived with a couple of friends about midday and we asked if our rooms were ready. They weren't, this was unexpected as check in was only from 3. We confirmed our reservations with the desk and asked if we could leave our bags. When we enquired about us arriving back late and if that would be a problem we were assured it wouldn't as reception was 24hrs. We arrived back at the hotel to be told out rooms had been given away. The hotel was full and we would have to go elsewhere. They also maintained they had tried to call but none of us had missed calls or voicemails. To say I was livid after going to the hotel earlier and confirming my booking and even leaving my bag is an understatement. We were forced to go to a hotel about 30 miles outside of Dublin and offered no explanation how this had happened Absolute joke. Avoid this hotel unless you know you can arrive after 3 and actually get you room.

Hotel was generally ok. I was very disappointed when l came out in the morning to find that my car and 14 others had been broken in during the night time here at this hotel. My car was parked quite close but cars parked nearer the hotel were also broken into and nobody from the hotel thought it worth their while to call any of us. l was on a rare overnight stay with my husband and two small children and the staff were not too concerned either about our car or our welfare...l certainly would not recommend this hotel to anyone else...
