Great location for a visit to Dublin city center.

Posted Jul 27, 2015
Pros: location (walking distance to museums and historical sites, shopping, theatre, restaurants and pubs), staff courtesy, cleanliness
Location: The hotel is in the middle of most of the major tourist and historical sites, and there are lots of restaurants and pubs within walking distance.
The hotel is only a few blocks from the entrance to Trinity College, to the bridge leading to O'Connell street to the north of the river (and to the bus station for excursions out of the city), and to Temple Bar. We walked everywhere we wanted to go (to the Guinness storehouse was the farthest we walked, over a mile away, but you could easily take the bus instead). We didn't need to use the bus system although there are routes to take you anywhere in the city, along with hop-on/hop-off sightseeing buses. The bus from the airport dropped us off a couple blocks south of the entrance to Trinity College so it was less than a 10 minute walk to find the hotel. The hotel staff were courteous and efficient, the room was clean and well equipped. We did not use the restaurant or bar, but they looked busy. Our only issue was that our room overlooked the courtyard of the fire station, so we had some noise from bells and sirens as they went out on calls and the morning routine checking of the equipment. I would stay there again, but would ask for a room on the other side of the hotel.

Would not recommend

Posted Jul 27, 2015
Pros: Location
Cons: Everything
They did not have my reservation and never found it. They gave me a room without AC and it was supposed to have AC. My room was right on top of the fire station which I heard all night. The room had recently been painted without proper ventilation in the interim.

Lovely hotel but wifi issues

Posted Jul 27, 2015
Pros: Location.
Cons: Internet!!!
Location: Close to Temple Bar, right across from Trinity College. Lots of good restaurants and attractions nearby.
Loved our stay at this property - the staff was friendly, helpful - room was large, with everything we needed. However, wifi reception is poor. We ended up taking our laptop to the lobby to sign in - then we could get the internet. There was no way to sign in from our room. Also, you get kicked off frequently, so back to the lobby. If you are trying to conduct business, it is difficult. The staff seemed puzzled by this - they said wifi was available everywhere in the hotel. I did tell them upon checkout to be sure to direct people to the lobby if they can't sign in.

Interesting decor but very clean. Great spot for walking to the Temple Bar area and there's a bus stop outside the hotel. Friendly staff.

Wonderful Location, Terrific Staff

Posted Jul 13, 2015
Pros: Location and staff
Cons: We like fitness facilities when we travel, but we did a lot of walking so for a weekend, not a big negative.
Location: Irish Whisky museum was excellent, also Dublin Castle. A little farther away is the Guiness Tour which my husband loved.
We had a weekend in Dublin, and were fortunate to stay at the Trinity City Hotel. Perfect location to reach pretty much everything on foot. Loads of great shops and restaurants on your doorstep. Rooms were a generous size, nice bathroom, and the breakfast was very good. What made it for us, is how nice the staff were, everyone was very friendly and helpful. We'd stay there again.

Beste Lage aber Vorsicht bei Standardzimmer

Posted Jul 5, 2015
Cons: Klimaanlage in den Zimmern der 4. Etage!!!

Great location but hotel needs TLC

Posted Jul 3, 2015
Excellent location, walking distance to most attractions, HOHO bus stops for both routes rightacross the street. Very helpful staff. On the other hand ... Shower didnt work, sink wouldnt drain, phone didnt work, one elevator inoperable, front desk understaffed, ice not readily available. Tricky pricing system ... When booking we elected the 25 euro upgrade, which was not enough, and we had to upgrade another two levels ((from 25 extra to 75 extra) just to get the above.
