“Great luxury flat in Dublin”

My husband and I stayed in Southdock apartment and were utterly shocked how great this apartment was and how warm and friendly the staff were, particularly for a self-catering option. The apartment is modern and gorgeous. They are small flats (as can be expected for a city) but we were upgraded (I guess due to low season) to a stunning flat with a gorgeous view overlooking the city and mountains in the background. The staff, especially Louise, were really friendly and warm. They met us at the apartment and did a lot to accommodate us. This is truly a luxury flat with modern bathrooms, stunning kitchen, flat screen TV , leather sofas, and modern furnishings. They even had a dishwasher and provided detergent so that we could tidy up and feel comfortable that we were not eating off of the previous person's not so clean dishes. The location is next to a bus station and I suppose it is not right smack in the city centre. However, given the good value for the excellent flat I would not hesitate to stay here again. If you want to see a lot of Dublin, it would be hard to find an accommodation that would be close to everything. You have to factor in some costs for taxi or bus.

“Lots of space!”

This is great for anyway who wants some space. We had 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, with a living room and full kitchen, also a washer/dryer in the kitchen. Everything is there that you need. Parking under building which is 8 Euros a night. Location not bad. We rented a car, but left it parked instead of driving in Dublin. Taxis are easily picked up in front of building and around 10 Euros each way into Temple Bar area. Train station and bus well within walking distance. You could walk into Grafton and Temple Bar area within about 20-30 minutes. A grocery store within walking distance, and some restaurants. On site staff only there during the day, a number is there to call if you need anything on evening hours. Staff was very helpful! Plenty of hot water, and water pressure.

“Great rooms for family but needs air conditioning”

This was a great 2 bed room family apartment. Plenty of room, full kitchen, two full baths, etc. The only major complaint was the lack of air conditioning. The windows were opened when we arrived and provided good air flow during the day but was to noisy to leave open at night. Facing the main road it was even noisy during the day with the windows open. The apartment doors will slam shut it you didn't hold them as they close, this is very loud also. 25 min walk or 10 -12 euro taxi ride to temple bar area.
