I traveled with my teenage kids, and they loved the apartment. With 34 degrees in the air, the hottub worked equally well as a cooling tub. We also used the outdoor kitchen for breakfast and lunch - really great alternative after many sessions in overcrowded restaurant areas. Entertainment for was provided by the garden turtles.

Nice, clean room with nice balcony. Shared kitchen was handy. Friendly owners. There are quite a few stairs to get up to house. 20 minute steep downhill walk to old town, which means coming back up. I think next time I would park car in public lot and stay in old town.

what a gem
What a gem to find. The property is clean and has a great shared kitchen and balcony – my tip[ is choose the room with its own balcony (yes the toilet is across the hall but it’s no problem and its sole use for you). The owners live next door and are really kind and helpful. Maria was great with recommendations and kind enough to drop us off to bus station. Dubrovnik is 15 minutes walk (easy there but hilly back – OK if you stop for ice cream). Great place and great people

Great place to stay!
Our stay in Maria's place was great! The apartment was very nice, clean and pleasent to stay. The entire place is a family run and it is seenthat they are working hard to make their guests have comfortable and enjoyable stay. Maria was extremely helpful and responsive with some enquiries we had. Place is about 15-20 minutes walk from Old Town of Dubrovnik. There is good convenience store nearby if needed. Overall, a great value for the price. Thank you Maria and we hope maybe to stay with you again in the near future!

You can't really have better for this price.
Amazing stay at Guest House Maria Di. Probably the best we had in Croatia for this price. This is very close to the old city of Dubrovnik (15 min walking). Warm welcome. Only minor issue is that the bathroom is detached when choosing the balcony room. We were made aware of that fact only when in place and would have choose the en-suite room otherwise. It should be clearly stated for the customers.

Great service, very comfortable bed. We were welcomed with a bottle of home made red wine. We booked the room with the balcony but the private bathroom was down the hall - the view was worth the trade off for walking 5 feet to go shower. Kitchen was nice for making coffee in the morning and storing lunch supplies.

Neat, clean but tough walking
We liked the room size, cleanliness, our own balcony, great AC, cimolimentary hosts own made wine bottle and the availability of a shared kitchen and lovely hosts. On the contrary the location means you have to walk a lot of stairs always when you leave for old town, any beach or restaurant. Nearest restaurant, a pizzeria, is appr. 300m away and grocery store is just 150m away. Also our own toilette and shower wasn't in directly accessible from our room, but through the corridor, next to other guests room. The hosts had a few turtles as pets that we saw one day in the apartments yard!

Maria and family are excellent hosts, very friendly, helpful and hospitable. They gave good recommendations of day trips to go for as well as local restaurants and attractions. The rooms also have amazing views of the water and skyline. Had a wonderful time there.

Our stay in here is 100% recommended: When we arrived to the Guest House Maria Di, we were given another apartment as the one that we booked had an issue. We were given the apartment located just in front of guest House Maria Di. The apartment was very clean and had all the amenities that you need. But the best thing about our stay was the customer service. They arranged a taxi to pick us up and return to the airport. They also helped us a lot as we had to go to the hospital and arranged the transport to go there. The location is good as it is located 15 min walk from city centre. There is also a small supermarket in front of the accommodation Overall, we are very happy with the accommodation and the service provided and if we go back to Dubrovnik, we will book with them again!

About a 15 min walk to old town Dubrovnik - quite easy all downhill! Much harder coming back but #8 bus stops about a block away from this location. House VERY hard to find. Laneway is stone steps up to houses at the top. If you are carrying heavy luggage there are a lot of steps uphill to get to unit, if frail or elderly would be impossible to do. Maria and her mom very nice. Great shared kitchen, nice to meet other travellers over coffee/breakfast.

A hidden gem!
Perfect location for getting to the Old Town, about a 15 minute walk. The room was very clean and the host family were very welcoming and helpful. I would definately stay here again if I came back to Dubrovnik.

Amazing views of the Adriatic Sea from our top floor balcony. Great apartment with two bedrooms, living room, bathroom, kitchen and washer. Very clean. Maria and her son were very helpful and kind. Can walk to Old Town or take a nearby bus. Grocery store nearby.

I cannot recommend this lovely apartment highly enough. The location was excellent we could walk to the old town in 20 mins. Apartment had a great view and was very clean and we felt very at home. Maria and her family are so lovely, her brother and father carried our very heavy bags down the many stairs and dropped us off at the bus station the morning we left. I left my kindle behind and Maria has organised to get it posted back to my address in NZ. I would recommend anyone who is staying in Dubrovnik to stay here you will be very happy. Thankyou again Maria and your lovely family for looking after us during our stay, and the red wine you gave us was very nice.

It is a modest guest house with beautiful rooms/bath rooms. Very clean. It is a 15 min. walk to old town of Dubrovnik. The owners are extremely nice and helpful. Would stay there again.

Great place to stay
I recently stayed here for 5 nights while in Dubrovnik. The apartment is about 15-20 minutes walk away from the Old Town and going back involves some uphill walking, but nothing too bad. The apartment itself was wonderful: very clean and comfortable with a balcony with sea-view. I even got a bottle of house-made wine as a welcome present! Maria is a very friendly hostess, and her recommendations for restaurants and places to go are great as well. Definitely recommended!

Maria was very nice and accommodating. The room was pretty spacious and everything looked new. Had a large shared kitchen with some good local liquors to sample. Beautiful views of Dubrovnik off the kitchen patio. Maria gave us good advice on the best places to go in Dubrovnik as well as some of her own wine. Thank you!! We cannot wait to visit again!

The room itself is excellent and the staff is very friendly and always supportive and responsive to any questions! In addition, the apartment locates within a walking distance from the old town and at a rather quiet place. A supermarket where almost every things can be bought at reasonable price is just around corner.

Lovely family and clean, beautifully decorated simple room and bathroom. Comfortable bed and pillows. Shared well appointed kitchen. Fairly quiet room although the rooms have fairly thin walls so if you are one of the 3 rooms below the top floor apartment and you have 3 girls staying there , like i experienced, coming home and stomping around, dragging chairs across the floor etc until 2 am.. You will need to get out the ear plugs!! Maria and her family are lovely but they need to make people aware staying on the top floor, that they shoukd be considerate of everyone else. i would happily stay here again and recommend it

We booked guest house Di Maria based on previous reviews and we were not disappointed. We arrived in Dubrovnik and after a short taxi drive we didn't have any problems finding the accommodation thanks to a very detailed email. Maria came to greet us, showed us the house and our room, gave us directions and recommendations, welcomed us with a lovely bottle of their own wine and even offered to do some ironing for us in preparation for a wedding we were attending! The room was lovely, with a nice balcony and great views. The shared kitchen had everything you need for a short holiday and it was always spotless. The bed was comfortable, the room and the bathroom nicely decorated and very clean. Great value for money.

Maria couldn't do enough for me. This place was close to the old town with uplifting Seaview from double glazed window - good soundproofing. Beautifully furnished room with modern bathroom. Good pressure hot shower. Lovely shared well-equipped kitchen. I definitely recommend this place.

2 bedroom apartment with balcony & sea views
The apartment was well situated with a balcony with table & chairs, looking out to the sea. It was within easy walking distance of Dubrovnik & also accessible by bus & taxi from the town centre. It had 2 double bedrooms & a bed settee in the spacious lounge, a very nice compact bathroom & kitchen & dining area. It was clean & well maintained & the owners were very welcoming, attentive & helpful. It also had wifi. On our arrival our cases were carried up to the flat & we were given flowers for the room & made to feel very welcome. All our queries re the area & facilities were answered willingly. We walked down to the the town most days, using a bus or taxi at times & the buses for day trips out of the town picked us up & dropped us off outside.

Simply Wonderful!
We had an amazing stay at Apartment Maria-Di. The view was gorgeous from both terraces. The bathrooms were freshly renovated and looked great. The kitchen was bright, functional, spacious and opened up to a large terrace with views of the ocean. The bedrooms we're welcoming and the linens smelled great! - very tastefully decorated. But all this was surpassed by the excellent service we experienced. Maria was so helpful. Her directions were great, She provided us with a map and guidebook. She did our laundry - smelled so good. She even drove us down to pick up our daughter when she arrived. We were provided with their family wine and had an assortment local liqueurs and grappas to sample. We felt special there - thank you Maria and family.

I had a very pleasant stay from start to end. The location is centrally located and a very quiet neighborhood. The rate is amazingly low for such a location. There is a vibes of being at home and the owner even did my laundry (it's my second week of holiday)at no cost! It's a home away from home for me. And Croatia as a whole is the best vacation getaway you can have!

Wonderful stay!
Apartment Maria Di is run by an extremely nice family who made us feel very welcome. We were able to check in early, Maria gave us a bottle of wine as a welcome gift (made at their family vineyard!), and at the end of the stay her father drove us to the port where our cruise was leaving from. The room/bathroom were both clean and comfortable and the apartment is close to the Old City. Would highly recommend to all! Thanks Maria for a great stay.

I would higly recommend this place to stay in Dubrovnik. Arrived early at mid day, my bedroom was already ready and cool from the air conditioning (after a week on a small yacht this felt amazing). The family were very helpful throughout my stay and would happily go out there way to assist you with any need from excursions to laundry. The location is great being a short walk from the pile gate. Dubrovnik is very hilly though, so it may be strenuous for some and would be impractical for travellers with young children or pushchairs.

Exactly the atmosphere we were looking for in Dubrovnik. Lovely host family, extremely helpful and sweet. Loved to room and private balcony with a view of the city and Adriatic! We arrived late with no problems And they were super welcoming! If I stay in Dubrovnik again I would definitely stay here! Within walking distance of old town.

The apartment was perfect, quiet and clean. The ac worked well and the bathroom was always kept clean. The host are attentive and really kind they made our laundry as the washing machine was located in a private bathroom. I Would totally recommend

Felt at home!
Before arriving had already knew that it would be a great welcome. Vesna answered so many questions and had given me much information that I needed in dubrovnik with prompt replies each time. She arranged a transfer from the airport Which was reassuring after a late flight. They went out of their way to assist with what we needed even her son taking us to the bus station. The room itself had a wonderful ocean view and a fully self contained kitchen. Thanks so much Vesna and Stephan and would highly recommend staying here.
