wow what a view!!!Posted Aug 26, 2014
location was amazing as the views over to the old city of Dubrovnik were just breathtaking. we had a lovely room and we loved the pool area and the fact that you could swim in the pool and the sea. the only negative thing we would like to mention was the staff and customer service need some attention. the pool staff were more interested in looking at their mobiles than bringing down umbrellas, chairs and tables when requested. (apart from the fair curly haired attendant that was very obliging and friendly) their was one couple staying at the hotel that reserved chairs all day (by leaving a pair of skimpy men's swim pants on a chair and magazines) and hardly used the chairs all day. how selfish- I hope you read this and know who you are!! great holiday. thanks.

Nice hotel and close to the Old Town.Posted Aug 23, 2014
The heat and the sun took some getting use to, but the hotel pool, coupled with the swim and the view of the Adriatic easily made up for it. The backdrop for my sons wedding was like a TV movie.

Close to the old townPosted Aug 21, 2014
Beautiful hotel on the water and only 10 min walk to the old town. The rooms with a balcony are the best.

grandeur up the hillPosted Aug 19, 2014
Pros: Friendly helpful staff, pool and ocean swimming, lovely indoor pool and quiet areas, happy hour for cocktails every evening
Cons: TV programming availability
Location: Old town for wandering, eating and drinking, island cruises, swimming from local beach, city walls tour
Nice and close to the old town, a short uphill walk back to the hotel, no public transport or buses required. Luxury in a relaxed fashion, this hotel exploits its wonderful cliffside coastal location perfectly.

Excellent hotelPosted Aug 18, 2014
We were really happy with this hotel, our room was modern and clean, the staff were extremely helpful, the hotel has both an indoor and outdoor pool, plus beach access, and it's just a short walk down the hill to the Old Town. Highly recommended.

Good hotel in an excellent location.Posted Aug 15, 2014
Pros: Location, pool, breakfast.
Location: The Old Town is very close and charming; full of old churches, a monastery, several galleries and lots of lovely restaurants(highly recommend Segreta)
This is a good hotel with an excellent location only 5-10 minutes walk from the Old Town. The amenities are great; particularly the pool area which is next to the sea (perfect for swimming in) but it does get very very busy and there is the usual dash for sun loungers. The breakfast is really great with plenty of choice and the views from the terrace are spectacular. Regarding the rooms - if you can afford it I would recommend upgrading to a sea view room as whilst the 'classic' rooms are perfectly clean, serviceable and comfortable they are on the lower floors at the back of the hotel and as such are very dark and lack character. The hotel staff work hard and are mostly all friendly, a few of the reception staff could be a little brusque at times. A word of warning; on checking out we found minibar charges on our bill (we hadn't had anything from the minibar during our stay) and the friends we were travelling with also found minibar charges on their bill (again, they hadn't had anything) so it might have been a coincidence but I think it might be worth closely checking your bills.

Perfect locationPosted Aug 10, 2014
Pros: The sense of space, the furnishings, the outdoor and indoor pools, the spa, the buffet breakfast
Cons: The wifi was free, but was so weak as to be unusable; the computers in the business area were also out of order.
Location: 10 minutes walk down hill to the old city. Boat trips to nearby islands. Mini supermarket. Good restaurants
A lovely large sprawling hotel, a few minutes' walk from the old city (mind you, uphill going back!). It has many places to sit and relax, both indoors and outdoors in the lovely gardens, a bench or table every few yards. A relaxing luxury place.

Accomplished hotelPosted Jul 31, 2014
Pros: Excellent location, very comfortable public areas.
Cons: Room was rather dated.
Location: Superb location close to Old town.
Enjoyed the Villa Argentina. It is well located, about 10 mins walk from the old Town. Rooms a little dated, but comfortable enough. Public areas excellent. Good, but small, swimming pool. Excellent breakfast. Would return.

Perfect mix of friendliness and professionalismPosted Jul 13, 2014
This is my first comment on a site like this but everything about the Grand Villa Argentina was of the highest standard but provided with a real air of professionalism mixed with genuine friendliness. Will definitely stay there again.
