Wonderful views

Posted May 21, 2014 on Hotels.com
As many other reviews have stated the views from the apartment are stunning, the facility is very clean and the owners are charming and helpful. The location is remote and while the bus service is nearby, a car is really necessary as the decent supermarkets are 6 miles away and there is so much more to see and visit in the area than Dubrovnik and Cavtat (the two ends of the number 10 bus route)... although both of these locations are charming. Our negative feedback on the apartment concerns the furnishings, which while adequate are very cheap (plastic chairs and flat-pack wardrobes etc.) The mattress was, however, comfortable. Our biggest problem was with the hot water supply, which was very hit and miss with significantly more misses than hits. The kitchen appliances were good and everything worked well including the air conditioning.

Pros: Amazing view from large balconies and pool, staff friendly, very peaceful location.
Cons: Lack of pavement along main road
Location: Great location on bus route to Dubrovnik and Cavtat. Both close. Easy parking. Plat peaceful relaxed beaches
Lovely apartments with superb view. Beautiful terrace and pool. Very peaceful. Owners very helpful. Will operate local taxi service. We have returned twice.

Just a wonderful place

Posted Jun 19, 2013
Pros: The views and the pool - just lovely.
Cons: There was nothing to spoil our stay.
Location: On a hillside with fantastic views across the sea, far enough away from the town to be quiet, but close enough for sightseeing.
We stayed 7 nights and loved it, and would stay here again. The pool was clean, lovely facilities, fantastic views over the bay to Plat and Cavtat. Very well kept, owners were very friendly, very welcoming, there if you needed anything. Very serene atmosphere, perfect for relaxation. There is a great restaurant practically on the doorstep, and Dubrovnik and Cavtat towns just a short bus ride away. Just a wonderful place.

Apartments Marnic a quiet gem

Posted Sep 26, 2012
Pros: the peace and quiet at Appartments Marnic was the most satisfying aspect of my stay
Cons: you need to be quite fit, the climb up and down is hectic
Location: the Appartments were well catered by the bus service. It is out of the way but if you want a better location you will pay a lot more.
This accomodation I highly recommend. The staff were exceptional. The appartments well appointed, very clean and the view from the deck a picture postcard. At the top of the drive is a very good bar restaurant although I used the self catering facility which was more than adequate. Local bus stop both ways at the top of the drive then a short walk either way, 10kn price to Dubrovnik old town or to Cavtat (banks and fabulous food). A very clean swimming pool is at the apartment, there is no beach.

Stunning views of the Adriatic and coastal Islands

Posted Jul 19, 2012
Pros: the views
Cons: a bit too small for a family of 4, which included two teen girls
Location: not really in a village, only one restaurant close by, 50m, so we would recommend a car, fantastic views which make this a great place to stay
The apartment was clean and tidy and was as described. My daughters shared the sofa bed and did not find it very comfortable, we also felt for a family of 4 it was a bit cramped. However the views are stunning and the pool great, very clean, we were only in the apartment to sleep. We found the car a must for this property as there is only one eating place close by so for variety we travelled to both Cavtat and Dubrovnik to eat at night. The restaurant at the top of the road was however great and we ate there 3 times and the food was good, pizza pasta and more local traditional foods. The owners/staff did not speak any English so if there had been a problem it may have been difficult to resolve, we had no issues at all.
