“Wonderful Location, but could do better”

A wonderfully situated appartment in an interesting old building--seconds off the main street of old Dubrovnik. All historical sites, the sea, bars and restaurants were seconds/minutes away. It is a magical city. The conversion was definitely of "do it yourself" standard. There was a certain lack to detail about the flat. It in no way spoilt our stay in Dubrovnik but it would have been very much more enjoyable with a little more attention to deatail. The sheets on the bed were unsatisfactory (they were nylon or poor quality course cotton). Some curtain hooks in tne bedroom had separated from the hanging rail--no one had bothered to rectify this. There were no instructions for the shower--this was not straight forward! There were rather too many plastic flowers--and the floor rugs needed a good shake! But there were plenty of clean towerls and hot water and an enormous fridge. We did not eat in the flat-so never prepared a meal--merely made cups of tea and eat some fruit.. Washing up was easy and tea towels were provided. Our stay was in the Summer so we cannot guage what it would be like in cooler weather. Overall we did enjoy our stay in the appartment in Dubrovnik--but there was some room for improvement.. Dubrovnik is a fabulous place.
