“Fabulous balcony view of the Dalmatian Coast”
Beautiful hotel with beach, sea views, lovely spa, dining and bar outdoor patio-- one of my favorite places to stay ever.
“Yes & No - It just depends on what you want.”
Although the country hasn't gone to the Euro the hotel basically has only 1 restaurant which is quite expensive. I have traveled extensively throughout Europe, Asia, Middle East, Africa, and the Americas. I'm not that impressed with the quality of the food which amounted to about $70-$80 for two entrees and 2 glasses of wine. I did see on my last day there that if you exit the hotel lobby, turn left and walk up and a little bit down the hill, there are 2-3 restaurants which look good and appear more reasonable. The walk to Old Town is not quite as short/easy as they claim. It's hot during the summer. It can be done but just be prepared. My suggestion is to book the Hilton which is literally right outside the doorsteps to Old Town and there is a D&M where you can buy soda and water and not pay the usual $3-6 drinks at the hotel or hotel restaurants. If you do stay at the Bellevue, on the same walk to Old Town where you make your first right, you can make a left instead and walk down the hill a bit and there is a local supermarket. Mind you, the hotel doesn't allow you to bring in food and drink so bring a backpack to conceal your snack items and drinks. I don't know why but when I'm on vacation I am more thirsty and hungry for little snacks. A taxi ride of literally maybe 2 miles costs $10 plus tip to get to Old Town. The restaurants there are pricey but I did see that the street above the main street is more reasonable but no A/C but 4 maybe 2 places
“Simply Amazing”
We couldn't have been happier with our experience at the Bellevue. The hotel was beatuiful, elegant and modern, yet had an old world charm that fit perfectly into the surroundings. It is built into a huge rock cliff that looks out onto the Sea. Spectacular views. My wife and I went there for 4 nights on our honeymoon, and were stunned by the hotel. The staff was verz attentive, but not overbearing. They upgraded our room for free, giving us a gorgeous balcony overlooking the private beach 8 stories below. We sat on our little porch and drank wine every night. The complimentary breakfast was ample and view tasty. Lots of local foods, but they also had eggs, sausage, bacon and the like for a hungry man. Most of the dinning space is on a porch that overlooks the sea, which was beautiful. Excellent dinner as well. The private beach was really beautiful and very secluded. A unique spot, that most of the other hotels in the area didnt have. It was a huge plus. Overall, an amazing experience. I would recommend to anyone going to the area. THe
“Can't Wait To Go Back”
The Bellvue sits on one of the most amazing spots in Croatia. We would definitely go back. To get to our room, we took a glass elevator down 5 floors from the Lobby, and could hear the waves crashing. Can't say enough. It's a real treat !
“We Love Croatia!!”
My husband and I traveled to Dubrovnik for our Honeymoon. The hotel and the town were amazing. The hotel is very modern, clean, and is built into the side of cliff- making the views amazing. The concierge desk was amazing- very helpful and willing to accommodate any needs. My husband unfortunately got ill (nothing to do with traveling) during the trip and they arranged for a doctor to come straight to the room. They also were great at explaining nearby attractions, directions, and setting up any day excursions. We wanted to rent a car to travel into Bosnia and they were able to find us a very reasonably priced rental the day prior!!! The hotel is within walking distance to old town (one of the very few) and also has a private beach- It was the best of both worlds. The continental breakfast had a great variety of fresh fruits, meats, and cheeses. The restaurants at the hotel were a little expensive but their service and food was unparallel. The waiters were very friendly and attentive – something you won’t find from the waiters within the old town. Overall, we would highly recommend the Bellevue Hotel!
“Dubrovnik's luxury hotel”
My husband and I stayed at the Bellevue Hotel during our honeymoon. We loved it. The room was fantastic with beautiful view and a great balcony. I loved the L'Occitane products in the bathroom. We enjoyed the mini-bar - reasonable prices (unheard of!) for sodas, beers, etc. We took advantage of the restaurant and the prixe fixe with wine. Best food of the trip. The staff was great. They went above and beyond. We had rented a car for the rest of the trip so instead of having to go the airport to get it, they arranged for the Budget guy to meet us at the hotel - saving us money and time. Overall, we loved our time there.
“Excellent choice for a stay in Dubrovnik”
Stayed at this hotel from 3/16 to 3/19 in 2010. The hotel staff was very pleasant and helpful. The room was clean and nicely appointed, and the view was spectacular! It's located within a 10 minute walk from the old city of Dubrovnik, so getting to and from the city was very easy. We had breakfast at the hotel each morning and it was always very tasty. The one dinner we ate there was also very good. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Dubrovnik.
“Worth the Stay”
The Bellevue is a very nice hotel situated on a cliff overlooking the Adriatic. The views from the rooms are outstanding and the hotel beach is very nice if you like to swim in the sea. If you are up for some advaneture make sure to climb up the rocks off the beach and do some cliff diving into the Adriatic. Also, once done at the beach head up to the pool and spa area and relax in the hot tub. We really enjoyed these amendities. The staff was pleasant, but did not speak English all that well so communication was a little difficult. We were given complimentary parking and internet access which were both pluses. Overall, we were really happy with the hotel staff. We did not try any of the restaurants at the hotel but you are very close to Old Town (walking or taking a bus) so we found plenty to do and many places to eat. Also, there is a laundry service right across the street from the hotel which came in handy. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel!
“Great hotel”
We stayed at the Bellevue for 5 nights. It was great and the staff were extremely helpful. We had a room with a sea view but not a balcony - we were happy with it, but a balcony would obviously have been nicer still. The beach area is VERY pleasant but fills up quickly on a nice day.
“Wondeful place to stay in Dubrovnik!”
I could not have been happer with this hotel. The location was good, the rooms were beautiful and the beach - perfect.
