lovely apartment

Posted Sep 27, 2012 on Hotels.com
we were only staying here 4 nights and had a lot planned for our time in Dubrovnik so we were only using the apartment as a place to crash at night. The apartment was kept very well and was very clean. The owners even dropped in an extra blanket for us because it was freezing at night. We had a bit of a treck to go to the old town walking but quickly got to know the bus routes and they were quick, cheap and often. The apartment had wifi which was very handy. The agency rep was ringing us quite a bit to organise a time to collect the cash and we felt a bit presurred to give him a set time on a set day which was a bit annoying. Also on our last morning we told him we'd be leaving at around 9. He arrived up at 8.55am and stood right at the front door waiting for us to leave, it was a bit bazzare. In general though, great apartment and a few nice restaurants nearby.

Great place

Stayed here for 3 days in early Sept 2012. If you don't want a hotel (and it's high cost), then this is a great, private and much less expensive place to stay in Dubrovnik. Located in a quiet neighborhood and attached to bigger house/villa. Sleeps 3. Great to have own washer/dryer/kitchen. Within walking distance is: bakery (2 min); grocery/cafe (3 min); bustop/ATM (4 min); beach (7 min); wharf (5 min). Bus (#6) will get you to Old Town in 7 minutes. Use their bus/airport pick up service. Worth it (not easy to find at first). Note: even though hotels.com says you pay when you leave, that is not true; you pay upfront when you arrive. Also, bring your own soap/shampoo.

A lovely flat in a great location.

The flat is located in a suburb in a fairly quiet area. It is close to a football pitch which there was a little noise and music from early evening, but this only lasted an hour. The flat is 5 minutes from a small supermarket, bakery, the bus to the old town, and the main restaurant area of Lapad and 10 minutes to the beach. The flat was basically furnished but had everything you needed and felt like home after a day. The kitchen and bathroom were well stocked and well maintained. The small patio area outside was secluded and really nice, we ate loads of meals out there and sat out till late feeling totally relaxed. Lapad itself is lovely, the restaurants are really nice, the area is well maintained, friendly and safe. The nearest beach was fairly busy but if you follow the coast path round there are loads of quieter swimming areas and a great large beach 15 minutes around the island walking along a lovely coast path. The manager was friendly, a little hard to get hold of on check out but okay. I would recommend this flat to anyone! Had a great time.
