An excellent boutique hotel right on the Adrian Se

Posted May 17, 2015
It was our granddaughter who picked both the city (Dubrovnik) and this hotel as our vacation venue. She just graduated from college and it was our gift for he accomplishments. She couldn't have picked a better venue. All of us immensely enjoyed our stay. The location was fantastic. The staff were courteous and highly professional. The breakfast was exceptionally fresh and delicious. It was an alround enjoyAble stay. We will come back again and again and would recommend it without any reservations.

Great views from hotel restaurant

Posted May 16, 2015
Pros: Restaurant view
Cons: Breakfast could be more variable as the same every day Also breakfast was cold such as eggs and mushrooms ( supposed to be part of hot selection)
We took shuttle bus from Dubronvik airport to old town ( 70 krunas return) and then number 6 bus to hotel a NUMBER 5 BUS stops closer to the hotel but only comes every 45 mins or so Hotel is a 10-15 min walk away so you can only do this if you have light luggage Room was on 5th floor but unfortunately our terrace looked onto buildings - Beautiful room very clean - we had a normal double room Noisy at night and early morning if you keep terrace door open - we had to because it was so hot otherwise The best staff we found were the ladies who made up our room every morning Always greeted us with a smile Lady at breakfast not so friendly We took a day tour to Montenegro which was fantastic - amazing views Also did the cable car - fantastic scenery - the restaurant there has delicious food and excellent service We ordered a crème brule -their local speciality- but it had run out - so we were offered a free alternative desert Unfortunately couldn't go to Huave which was recommended to us due to ferries not going Friday, sat, sunday in may Some very nice gelatos and pizza in Dubronvik in the old city

Bliss

Posted May 15, 2015
I was a bit disappointed that we were so far from The Old Town but the Hotel More made up for it - and it was only a bit of a walk and a bus ride away. The Cave Bar was definitely a highlight; right on the water-the photos don't lie - straight into the pristine Adriatic from the banana lounge. The restaurant was great (though I could do without the music at 6.30am). There were plenty of other bars and restaurants close by and we were away from the hectic pace of The Old Town.

An amazing hotel - perfect for all ages!

Pros: The 5 - 10 mins walk to the Promanade bars and restaurants. also the views of the sea and the hills are to die for. Location, location, location,
Cons: Please open the cave bar for extra hour (to 11 pm)
Location: The Promanade is just a stone throw from the hotel. Wonderful walks in different directions from the hotel.Public transport, bars & restaurants nearby
We have declared Hotel More our second home as it was our 4th time there. This hotel is an absolute jewel of Dubrovnik. It is a perfect place to escape from the hustle & bustle of London or any busy city/town. It's location is also perfect for those who want the best of both worlds (fun & relaxation). Our 16 year old granddaughter found the hotel facilities extremely relaxing especially for her 'A' Level studies. She was able to destress , have fun and at the same time make significant progress with her studies. Staff: The staff at Hotel More have first class customer service - who doesn't appreciate being addressed as 'My Lady'! You don't often get that kind of respect in this day and age. My family and I felt well appreciated and a great deal of respect from all the hotel staff irrespective the dept they work. Views & proximity to the Old Town: This hotel has amazing views from 360 degrees. Every direction you face at any level/part of the hotel has something breathtaking. The Cave Bar: Thiere is no other bar like it on this planet. One needs to go there to understand the unbelievable natural beauty which has been preserved but creatively utilised as a bar. Restaurant: the chefs deserve Michelin Star! The food is of high standard and the service is top notch. The walk to the Old Town is the best exercise to burn all the calories accumulated/piled on holidays. It is indeed a pleasant and enjoyable walk.

Gorgeous sea view

Posted Apr 24, 2015
Our stay at the Hotel More was a delight. We booked a sea view room with a balcony and it was worth it! The room was lovely and all the facilities were excellent. Breakfast is plentiful and tasty. The restaurant meals were very good and the Cave Bar is fun. The hotel is a little bit off the beaten track, but if you take a five to ten minute walk along the promenade to the bus stop and catch a bus to the old city, it is not a difficult journey . Buy your bus tickets at the newspaper kiosk nearby. The hotel also offers a taxi service to and from the airport which is competitively priced and very efficient. The area is beautiful with the old city and boat trips if you wish. A wonderful city break!

The Perfect holiday

Posted Apr 19, 2015
Pros: The hotel is beautifully situated along the coastline and the views out over the ocean are stunning, but what made our stay here special was the staff
Cons: The hotel bar is excellent but it closes at 10pm, I think this is a little too early for a hotel bar.
Location: Lapad town centre is just a short walk (5-10mins). There are lots of good quality restaurants nearby and plenty of spots to sun bathe or just relax.
I recommend this hotel to couples and/ or older groups wishing to take a relaxing break in a very picturesque and beautiful part of the world. The views out over the ocean from the restaurant and the excellent cave bar are simply stunning and a real treat for anyone booking a room with sea views. But what sets this hotel apart from other hotels I've stayed at, is the very professional, approachable and friendly staff, not just on reception but the entire hotel, including the room attendants, waiters and kitchen staff. The location is also excellent, just a 5-10 minute into Lapad, along the beautiful coastal path which is accessible at numerous points along the way, via (sometimes rather steep) steps. The food in the restaurant is also excellent and a good lunchtime menu is also provided at the hotels 'cave more' bar. Free wifi is provided by the hotel and a hotel shuttle service (costing 340 Kuna) is also provided on request.

Excellent location, lovely sea views

Posted Apr 16, 2015
Pros: Location, good sized room
Cons: Rooms need refurbishment - e.g.:- sink surround in bathroom needs new surface
Location: Great location for sea views and walking by the coast.
Just spent 5 nights at Hotel More and enjoyed the visit. Hotel very comfortable though a little in need of updating.
