Wonderful room with nice view of seaPosted Oct 27, 2013
Pros: Location was amazing with incredibly views. Access to multiple restaurants along the water.
Cons: Indoor pool area was a bit dreary.
Location: Near amazing walking path along the coast.
Really enjoyable. Pleasant staff. Wonderful breakfast not to mention the incredible views from their dining area along the water. Conveniently located adjacent to a wonderful path where you can walk along the coast. Highly recommended.

Excellent view and close to the beachPosted Oct 1, 2013
Excellent facility good location and gorgeous view. Internet was very slow and often not present in rooms likely due to the fact that is shared by 4 hotels. Breakfast is also shared by all hotels. Lots of good choices but of low quality Staff were ok and helpful The main advantage is the location and the view

Bad start but improvedPosted Sep 27, 2013
Pros: Views, location On the rocks bar at sunset
Cons: As above, positions of coffee/drinks machines at breakfast to avoid long queues.
Location: Cable car ride above the town with great views was not well advertised before hand, but worth the trip.
Did a lot of research before booking the Neptune and chose to upgrade (and pay for) a panoramic room with balcony to make most of the spectacular view. So imagine my surprise to be taken away from the main hotel, down dark corridors on the first floor, to be show to a room facing a brick wall. Back to reception and it was sorted, luckily I had taken all the paperwork with me. After that we had a lovely stay at the Neptune, taking daily trips into Old Dubrovnik city and surrounding areas. I would agree with other reviewers on the hotel food being a little pricey, but would highly recommend the John Dory fish dish in Zoe restaurant...perfecto! Breakfast Buffett was a bit of a scram as they kept running out of cups and one if the coffee machines was broken. Perhaps putting coffee/drinks machines in different locations would help, as often it was the prep time holding people up. That said, staff were constantly replacing dishes and food, even for the last minute of breakfast diners.

Great hotel in excellent location!Posted Sep 11, 2013
We stayed 1 week at Hotel Neptun and had a fantastic, relaxing time. The facilities are excellent, the pool/beach area is great with clean towels provided for every visit. There was a wide selection on the breakfast buffet so we were never disappointed, especially with the sea views! Staff were always friendly and helpful. Only a short walk along the promenade into Lapad where there are bars, shops and restaurants (Levenat and Restaurant Casa are recommended) and the bus into Dubrovnik leaves from right outside the hotel.

Decent hotel in a startlingly beautiful placePosted Aug 9, 2013
Neptun is one of three or four hotels operated by a chain, and it feels that way. It's mass production hospitality, though it's generally well run. The room has some cheaply made features, but it's clean, and almost every room has a gorgeous view. Staff is friendly and professional. The real selling point is that the peninsula on which the hotel sits is jaw droppingly beautiful. The sea is as inviting, clean, clear, and refreshing as you'll find just about anywhere. And it's a great place for kids large and small with many activities to keep them happy and busy. All in all, I'd recommend this hotel to people who will appreciate its strong points.

Didn't actually stay at neptunPosted Jul 7, 2013 on Hotels.com
We booked a panaramic room with a kingsize bed. After an efficient check in and taken to our room by the porter, we couldnt have been more disappointed. The bed was bearly a double and the view was a partial seaview, which overlooked very unattractive hotel rooftops. We spent one night in this room and found it very small and depressing. We did complain and were moved to a lovely room at the ariston, next door, which we were very happy with. The hotel staff were very helpful and We feel your description of the hotel needs to be reviewed as we were told they have no kingsize beds. Also we didnt realise it was part of a complex of five hotels.
