“Briliant hotel and location”

Writing this from the room wide screen Tv internet included. Great views bikes and canoes to hire. Nice bar on the harbour front . Nice sandy safe swimming beach. Have booked to stay another night.

“Good Experience!”

Great hotel, better than most 4 star hotels in Europe. Very clean, adjacent to lots of stores and the hip place for locals to hang out. Ask for a room with a view, the view is amazing!

“Do not miss Dubrovnik Croatia”

Excellent value. You can pay more if you like, but the Tirena has everything you require at afordable prices.

“Impressed”

Excellent. Beaches close to the hotel are not overcrowded. Very easy to navigate to old city via a short bus ride from the hotel which readily departs close to the hotel. Kids character tooth brushes and balloons was supplied for the kids which was a very nice touch in the room. Very professional and would classify this as a four star hotel, not a three star as noted on website. For the price of room would recommend for Internet to be for free and complimentary bottled water supplied. The size of complex it would be great if a laundry mat was available for use.

“Great for families”

This is a modest, three-star hotel, but you get excellent quality for the price you pay. We have booked a "family room" for two years in a row, which is excellent for a family of four. The family room consists of two separate rooms with a connecting door, and two full bathrooms. One year we asked for and received a double bed on one side and two twins on the other, but although we asked again the second year, the hotel was very full and we had reserved late, so we got four twin beds instead, which was fine. The rooms are extremely clean and in good shape; the bathrooms have obviously been renovated recently and are lovely and large. The hotel has an excellent swimming pool, which is great for kids, with towel service and a pool-side bar. It is a fairly long walk (10 minutes) to the closest public beach on the Adriatic sea. There is ample parking available, and the hotel is on a bus route which takes you to the old town, so we normally leave the car and take the bus to avoid parking problems. (Bus tickets available in the hotel shop.) The buffet breakfast in the hotel restaurant offers lots of choice and is very tasty. The same restaurant offers a reasonably-priced buffet for supper, which we tried once and enjoyed very much. There is also a walking street with various small shops and eateries just behind the hotel. Overall, the Tirena provides excellent quality and service for the price and level of the hotel. We enjoyed our stay both times.

Pleasant staff, lovely and much appreciated air conditioned room, great pool, near waterfront and just a short bus ride into town.

“Good location to relax or to explore Dubrovnik”

Great pool and pool area. Pleasant and helpful staff. Great extensive breakfast. Attractive grounds. About 15 minute drive to old town; bus available. Locate away from the crowds with good restaurants in walking distance. Access to beach.

“Good for Relaxation”

A bus ride away from the Old Town, the hotel was relaxed and the hotel staff really friendly. There was a little bit of noise from the building site next door, but we were able to move rooms - a great sea view and balcony!

“Dissapointed”

We stayed for 4 nights and picked Tirena because of previous good reviews and the presence of the swimming pool. Unfortunately, due to ongoing construction work at the neighbouring hotel the pool was closed, although there were arrangements to allow use of a pool at a near hotel which was very good, if a 5 minute walk away . Our rooms were poorly located on the ground floor, each morning we were woken before 8am by construction workers and machinery immediately outside our window. If this wasn't enough, the maids arrived in our room 2 of the mornings of our stay, again before 8am!! Breakfast was average. The location of the hotel is poor, there is no adjacent beach.
